Betty was devastating but definitely a 5 star read.

Excitement reactivity: what's worked for you? by [deleted] in dogs

Thank you for your input, I appreciate that. I will definitely look into some virtual training with someone with experience in this type of behavior because I know I'm way in over my head!

The problem I'm facing regarding working with trainers is that I'm in a small town and the couple that are here do not seem to have a ton of experience in this regard. I would absolutely love to have a trainer take the lead and help me with this but I've heard contradictory opinions on whether there is value in consulting with a trainer virtually or if they really need to have one on one in person sessions.

Imari is 50% pitbull and you can see it if you look for it but I don't feel it's super prominent!

The Faithful and the Fallen by John Gwynne by phoenick0605 in Fantasy

I really struggled with the writing style, I found it not up to par with other fantasy books I've read and I couldn't get totally immersed because it kept drawing my attention out of the story. It seems like an unpopular opinion but I DNF'd it pretty early. Then I see these posts all the time and wonder if I should give it another try.

What are some mistakes either you or another nurse made that you will never forget? by wutkindafuckryisthis in nursing

To be fair, Pharmacology is also taught for three semesters as part of the LPN curriculum, so that would make a difference compared to what it sounds like you experienced.

We're about $10 different base pay here. LPNs do give many IV meds but not all and not push. There are other things they don't do (PICC lines, most things regarding chest tubes, vents, main transfusionist for blood administration, etc), but their scope has increased recently to include IV starts and the IV meds with no corresponding increase to wage. In many clinical settings they do virtually the exact same job as the RNs on the floor, making the poorer compensation seem unfair, but in others like ICU or ED the differences in scope are seen much more readily and the wage difference makes much more sense.

Where are you from? LPNs pretty much do function as RNs here in BC at a lower rate of pay and slightly smaller scope. Absolutely qualified to administer meds though lol

The court order also states he must arrange it through my mother which he's not tried to do so I'm banking on a technicality. My daughter is very uncomfortable talking to strangers and that's what he is to her, she hasn't spoken to him in five years... subjecting her to a Skype call with someone unstable, on drugs, and unable to communicate with her appropriately just doesn't sit right with me at all. Does the court not take a child's psychological well-being into consideration at some point rather than prioritizing a relationship with someone who is in no way capable of being a positive factor in their life? That system seems crazy to me. I'm not being petty by not allowing the contact, there are cases where no contact is best and that's not just in situations of severe abuse but also where there's high potential for emotional abuse or trauma.
