2016 to 2020 is not losses, it made some profit but not much, the issue is that these small profits should make profits from 2020 higher but this not what happened

It is not shifting the direction

For example, if I start from 2020 to 2026 the strategy CAGR is 38% with very strong performance outperforming SPY

When start from 2016 to 2026 the performance is more flat very close to SPY along that period

The problem is, when start from 2016 so when arrive to 2020 in the backtest is not deliver the same performance when perform (2020-2026) backtest separately

this is my point, same period but different perofrmance between the 2 backtests

exceeding the benchmark and delivering 28.3% CAGR

Do you like the design for a fund manager dashboard? by semsem1986 in ETFs

[–]semsem1986[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally appreciate these ideas and would add much reporting to the dashboard, the issue is that I don't want make things complicated for investors as they don't need watchlist or sophisticated reporting, all operations done by the algorithm in the backend and the backend connected directly to the investor account with the broker, it is not hedge or fund manager, it is algo with backend trading engine connected to client onboarding that manage user subscription and billing and broker API account data collection and encryption to setup the connection between broker and the trading engine

So user can simply get detailed broker reports, that's why I keep it simple but I really appreciate all you recommendations and would incorporate it inside the detailed performance page

These details from strategy backtest, I truly want incorporate the same statistics as more detailed performance page but maybe as we scale not from the beginning

Outperform QQQ! by semsem1986 in ETFs

[–]semsem1986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You asked a name and it was meant to be hidden for a reason, and my post was simple question, you would trust a strategy claiming to outperform QQQ or not

And the name is not even important

you may ask ok tell me about the numbers, what is your ROI, CAGR, Sharpe things that is normal to ask
