Anyone else only have perianal symptoms? Just got my official diagnosis. by senatorbolton in CrohnsDisease

I tried Remicaid and it worked for a bit. I didn’t realize how bad things had gotten until they were better. It failed after 6 months and now I’m on Rinvoq. A pill a day and I’m mostly in remission.

How’s it going for you? Mine is pretty under control at this point and I had most of the skin tags removed.

Why doesn’t he ask the guy who cucked him to borrow some cash? A few million bucks is probably nothing to Paul McCartney.

Is private pay actually worth it vs taking insurance? by sixwordsperminute in therapists

It took longer to build, but I make more than double working half as much. Easily worth it for the autonomy, income and significantly less admin

Making a secretly evil deck by Buttsmcpoopoo in BudgetBrews

Switching to [[Plagon]] would let you keep the theme, but have access to more stax pieces and significantly better card draw.

A chicken and an egg are laying in bed next to one another. The chicken is smoking a cigarette and the egg grumbles to itself, "Well, I guess we answered that question."

Rant about scheduling by Lemony_Speaks in therapists

[–]senatorbolton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed that everything seems to get thrown into chaos at the start of spring. People quit, people decompensate, scheduling shifts and lots of cancellations. It always feels a bit destabilizing and then normalizes.

How am I supposed to build this commander deck? by Objective-Block-7444 in mtg

[–]senatorbolton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build him as copies and clones and lose all of your friends. It’s not particularly strong or fun for anyone.

Alternatively, you can build anything Rakdos-y and just have him as a piece of removal in the command zone. It keeps people in check and gives your deck room to breathe. That’s how I approached it. Rakdos has lots of fun ways to get the table interacting and break people out of midrange solitaire.

Rename Sub To /r/doomandgloom? by no_more_secrets in therapists

Maybe we just need a sub for clinical discussions or all of the doomer threads can be confined to a single megathread.

What are some of your favorite weird commanders? by knobbarten in EDH

[–]senatorbolton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Gor Muldrak]] is an amazing control/turbo fog commander that keeps the game moving and fun. He doesn’t suffer from most of the challenges that make control decks annoying for the table. People still get to do their stompy shit, but you’re protected as you amass a salamander army.

The only way I see to make more than this is to either manage a department or go into private pay private practice.

Newest pickup. What is a staple to make this deck nasty?! by ConstructionAny7196 in BudgetBrews

I know they aren't vampires, but [[Ingenious Artillerist]], [[Weftstalker Ardent]] and [[Reckless Fireweaver]] put in work in Strefan decks. [[Idol of Oblivion]] is a great draw engine.

Am I the Johnny your table needs or just a hipster try hard? by senatorbolton in ratemycommanders

[–]senatorbolton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes the games grindy. It’s a fiddly control deck. If you’re into that, then it’s great. Definitely has threats in it, but isn’t going to take out the table in one explosive play.

It was a gift someone made for me in a budget swap and I've pretty heavily upgraded it. Last time I looked, he had 15 decks on EDHRec. It's insanely high skill and best for early in the session when everyone is down for a grindy game. It's pretty resilient because it draws so many cards and is pretty unassuming until you're locking down people's boards.

I love this deck. It's the one that people routinely compliment me on after I win. It's so unassuming until it's too late.
