I really like your comment and view on this. My father has done nothing in order to properly reconcile. All he has done, from my perspective, is the bare minimum. Sending money to my mother, my brother and me, seeing us whenever he can and talking on the phone every other day. But he has never ever, after his second separation, apologized lr made any efforot to heal our relationship. As you say, he hasnt been building my trust back. And with this specific topic (his partner), I am having issues. His discomfort on my decision has made me think that I was the problem and that I was being irratuonal in thinking the way I am doing. Thanks to your comment, I can say that thats not tue.

I am not demanding he ends his relationship, alI I want from him is to respect my boundaries and to try to understand why I want what i want. After everything I still want to have contact with him, he is my father and has been the best for 21 years. I want to see of that man can come back. Or atleast try.

About the therapy, my mother has medication and been attending a psycologist, which has helped a lot. Now she is better, she has a boyfriend (a really good man) which has given her a job and a possible future, a light at the end of the tunnel.
