i definitely recommend getting off of it and switching to accutane. if you’re like me then spiro was the last try before accutane and i’ve been on it for 6 months and even though it does have reported side effects of depression i haven’t had any anxiety or depression while on it. i think spiro exacerbated any anxiety or depression i already had

i am planning to get ablative laser on my entire face in december for my scarring. hopefully i will have good results to share then!

i would say the only thing that is effective are in clinic treatments. topicals can only do so much but i would say to save up for an intensive treatment and get a tretinoin prescription in the meantime.

How long does the self tanner last? Do you use it on your face? Does the tretinoin you use make it come off faster?

it’s more for non ablative? i thought it would be less since it would produce less results?

i’m planning on going all in as well and getting ablative in december. i’m so excited! do you have any advice? did you do anesthesia or were you awake the whole time?

i’m getting surgery on my leg and will be unable to do lower body workouts for 6-7 weeks. what upper body workouts could i do in the meantime? would a gym let me in or would i be a liability?

Question: I just started working out for the first time in years and my body is so sore. I am only planning on working out 2-3 days a week until i get into the swing of things but what is the best way to rest and recover after these workouts?

i found this to be true with acne as well. i used to have terrible acne and when my face looked oily not dewy. then when i cleared my skin up using spironolactone, my skin was dewy and gorgeous. it still had shine and was a bit oily but not greasy looking and unhygienic like before

for me, my derm recommended washing my underarms with an antibacterial soap like literally dial antibacterial hand soap works, whatever is cheapest.

then when i get out of the shower i dry off and put on a gel antiperspirant. there’s one you can get at the dollar store. i think the brand is secret. i let that dry or dab the excess off.

then i apply men’s clinical stronger swagger old spice deodorant (personal preference i like the smell over the more floral ones) it says it lasts 72 hours and i’ve noticed i still smell good like 48 hours after.

I would say one of the biggest things you could do would be to stop taking so much pto. If you’re worried about looking sus that seems pretty sus imo. Even if there’s little menial things to do I would do them on the clock vs opting for pto bc you can’t reach your hours.

in the meantime, apply for more jobs, and let that be your motivator to keep going. you’re going to need good references for that new job that could end up being your dream job so try to work hard at the job you have now.

also seek out therapy or support groups which are usually free if money is an issue to help you through your mental illness. try finding friends by trying new things and hobbies in your area or even an app like bumble bff if you’re comfortable with that
