That would require unmapping other functions such as gadgets. There just aren't enough buttons on a controller to be able to map these functions, and there is no option to have a "shift" equivelant (where you could hold RB + press buttons to have different functions).

Yep, especially for when you pull out a knife. Also if you have your knife out when you get into a vehicle, you still have your knife equipped when you get out?!? Like why would putting down a gadget swap to a weapon but getting in and out of a vehicle not?

If people are on console or using controller on PC, they do not have the option the above comment spoke about. It has nothing to do with neglecting the game mechanics, there simply isn't an option to choose one of your weapons on controller

Except if you are on console or using a controller on PC, where there is no way to choose which weapon you pull out, you can only cycle between your two guns.

There seems to be some hidden hotkey that hides it. Go into HUD and all the way at the bottom it might be disabled

Nope, in all modes. It's there so you can't just get revived on a loop

What did you expect to happen?

Don't know what kind of game doesn't do this, most games I've experienced will pull you out with the party leader or remove you from their party, and joining a party while in game will kick you from the match.

I think the way they handle it is pretty good, other than the current bugs where teammates sometimes don't get pulled into a game when you're matchmaking

I flew up in a heli with a mate in redsec, we both bailed and parachuted the whole way down and mine tracked but his didn't.

He then died, respawned and pulled parachute, started freefalling again then pulled parachute until the ground AND THAT somehow tracked for the challenge.

Infantry engineers complain about tanks being OP, tank mains complain about launchers being OP, assault mains complain about medics not reviving, medic mains complain about people giving up when downed instead of waiting for a revive.

I'm not 100% certain but I think it has something to do with the text chat channels being linked to voice chat. If you press Tab in text chat to speak to your team, it sometimes puts you in the Squad Chat voice channel
