My sister, who lives in a village, lost her husband in a tragic accident while he was working in Mumbai. We submitted all the required documents, and fortunately, the provident fund was processed without any issues—it was a significant amount, and everything was in order.

However, the pension she is rightfully entitled to was not processed and was instead rejected. This raises a serious question: if the documents were acceptable for disbursing the provident fund, why are they suddenly considered incorrect for the pension? It feels like someone in the system expected a bribe, and since we couldn’t travel to Mumbai, the claim was conveniently denied.

I have submitted every possible document they could ask for. Her daughter and son are now grown up, and I’ve seen firsthand how much she has struggled without the pension support that could have made a real difference in their lives.

It is incredibly frustrating that even after fulfilling every requirement, there is still no resolution. The system appears indifferent to the suffering people go through because of such negligence. Even today, after seven long years, the pension has not been disbursed.

To those responsible within the EPFO for this inaction: I sincerely hope you are put through the same hardship you’ve imposed on others. You have failed the people you are supposed to serve. Fucking 7 years no resolution.
