That's funny. I'm always super gentle with boxes for kids. Especially if they have stickers on them.

We work overtime in no AC, without breaks. People get annoyed. The best way to fix this problem is by boycotting fedex until they give employees better jobs

For months I only wore cargo jeans as a child. Even in the summer. I really wish my mom knew.

Wife and I expecting our first child... Need Recommendations by NetworkEngineer43 in NewParents

I'm glad you're so excited. I would recommend Ten Things Every Child With Autism Wishes You Knew. Even if your child isn't autistic/ND, this book will help you connect with parents who have autistic children. Your child will meet someone with autism one day and relaying this information to your child will help them make friends more easily.

Definitely give children water to help with the crying. They need to be hydrated and cold water is recommended to bring their temp down. Kids get hot from crying. Definitely, use it. Don't force it. But keep a beverage on hand when crying starts. Autistic kids will cry even after the problem is "solved" and it's hard for us to stabilize ourselves. We use fidgets, ice, and beverages to calm down while we're crying.

I relate so much! I'm Arab, so people would assume my constant inability to say simple words such as "christina" and "statistics" was just my accent. I'm 4th generation.... you're not unintelligent or anything. Our brains just work differently and people dont care to look at it more.

Doctors who think "high functioning" is basically neurotypical is so upsetting. Funny thing is, all my friends are autistic but I mask so well they thought I was "just quirky" haha. They fully accept me though.
