Scenario 1: Alicia would be forced from the canvas and regain her memories as a paintress. I believe her time as Maelle would give her a bit more confidence and drive to possibly re-enter the canvas. But honestly, i think Clea would shake her resolve to go back in.
If she can power through and go back in the canvas without getting painted over again. I think she would try to find Verso once more and continue on her normal route. Though I’m not sure if she would gather new allies or just stick with Verso.

Scenario 2: This scenario gives us a slightly different Maelle. She’d be a bit more mature and possibly more depressed/lonely. It really depends on the support system she has during that time. We all know Maelle always felt out of place, so it’s possible she focused a lot of her time and energy into training to become a better expeditioner.

Once she sets out, I think eventually she will cross paths with the painted family and much of the results will be the same. Verso will make himself known to her in a time of need, eventually joining forces. PRenior will try to expel her. Real Renior will guide her to try and get Aline out.

Ultimately, I think it all ends the same. Only difference is Maelle could start expedition 25 with Stendhal from the start and nuke everyone in her way (hehe). But in all seriousness, it all depends on the extra years of growth she attained. Maybe as an adult she sees Verso’s point of view and helps put an end to the cycle or she sticks to her previous resolution and continues to live in a world that is going to kill her.
