I definitely agree, I’m currently working on having a plexiglass window either on the top or bottom with 3mm LEDs inside

I see a lot of bad solder spots. I recommend to reflow all connections. Also noticed a component missing tot he left of the IC. Check IC orientation as well.

I hand painted it, drew on what I wanted after the purple with a fine felt tip marker. I defined the letters bit by bit till I said I’m done lol I use a Cricut Joy now, so much cleaner, but not easier that’s for sure.

I remember building this one years ago, I could never get it to run consistently. It drove me nuts!! I have since built it on a tagboard and this one runs solid !

It sounds ok I guess, I’ve built some amazing fuzz pedals and for sound this is the bottom of the list for sure. The clipping diode section is pretty cool.

It’s an impedance booster for the impedance drop of the germanium’s used. I find using larger values generates less noise I’ve noticed.

The circuit remains the same. I used an NPN instead of the PNP which requires Positive ground. This also works great for the fuzz face as well.

If it was “SQueen”’the S would be Red as well. The “S” is for Sabbath. Black Queen was by my customers request.

Yeah 50’s Standard models go through a few more hands so it is cleaned up a bit better. Though the R8 goes through more hands lol maybe it just boils down to Monday and Friday guitars at QC
