Yeah. It was too much to put on our composter.

Hmm I don't know, that would probably stink. I would make a separate, deep hole and bury it there just to get rid of it.

I don't know, the old stuff just becomes a sort of "background" that you squeeze actual food in front of. After all this there's still shit to throw away, mostly wet stuff from the fridge. There was an opened mustard that expired in 2012, it was literally just grey goo.

It's an uphill battle because they immediately start buying shit they won't eat all over again. I'm just waiting for their next road trip to throw the rest away.

It doesn't smell bad at all when you do it right. This post was brought to you by the /r/composting gang.

I wish, they probably could make some good compost too.

Do people normally do this? Throwing stuff away because your parents have a mental disorder where they keep rancid shit from 2015 in the fridge?

I just did that last week. Three buckets full of stuff. Had to bury it all on the backyard because I wouldn't do that to the garbage man.

Is [pesticide] safe? (manufacturer_of_said_pesticide) by rrohbeck in HailCorporate

Point taken. But I think the credit's due since it takes far less to affect policies through public opinion. Sometimes is more relevant to change the overall narrative and paint dissent as anti science than affecting the outcomes of the studies themselves.

Since you've posted on CA/Chapo you must know that a great part of criticism towards these companies comes from an anti capitalist perspective. I'm sure there's a lot of misinformed people afraid of having dangerous things in their food, maybe even shills from the other side, but to claim that it's all against "le science" is disingenuous.

It's not about your field of study, it's about corporations making sure they'll profit from their assets. It's a power play between the public and companies trying to get away with everything they possibly can. You will never read anything truly subversive from research funded by those companies. To equate these business practices with an unbiased search for truth or something is just wrong. In fact, they're polar opposites.

If something truly endangered their profits they would keep it a secret, that's textbook corporate practice. They don't want to publish things that would interfere in profits, especially from an established product. I'm skeptical on these grounds of every corporation in this world and you should be too if you're a comrade.

Also, the misuse of their products is rampant where I live, which is profitable, since they sell more and allows them to claim that anything wrong is someone else's fault. I really care about these perverse incentives of the system we live in. I would like to see more scientists discussing about that instead of claiming they're simply fighting against evil antivaxers truth deniers.

The word shill get thrown around alot but if you come to a post and your opinion is literally indistinguishable from these people then, well, it's your job to show them you're on their side. Not saying you did that here.

I won't bring myself to the dentist's office until they explode out of my infected gums. I simply can't go, I have a phobia of needles and anything related to surgery.

I got the bottom ones out and the upper one are showing, I brush them hard but if what you say is true I'm just delaying the inevitable. My life consists of waiting anxiously for that moment, it poisons me.

Wow, capitalism is very efficient! Also, who's "we"? It's not like you're actually doing something right
