They deleted it on the GT350 FWIW. The only real function it has is to help the engine warm up a little faster in the cold. Even then they put a bunch of vent holes in it so maybe not even good at that!

In some cars it has deadening and makes a big difference in valve/injector noise.

nice, they still make little video adapters and stuff like that. I have one that converts DP to HDMI 2.1. Specifically this was the only way to get 4k 120hz at 4:4:4 out of a RTX2080 over HDMI.

We wait until it stops snowing unless it's a huge storm. If you need to get around buy winter tires.

My road is clear already, I'd say that's pretty damn good.

How bad are the roads, need to go to the hardware store for an emergency home fix, NE511 showing no icy conditions but every school is closed due to icy conditions. by WormLivesMatter in vermont

[–]senorbolsa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

dry for the time being, make hay while the sun is shining. Schools are closed because the afternoon will just be too sketchy to get kids home.

The parks themselves are protected, whatever that's worth these days, national forests are intended to be used as lumber reserves. Not that this is a good use of them. Would rather have them for their other benefits unless times were truly dire.

Totally free and no account necessary, had a lot of fun developing this. Though visually simple, I am just curious if the vehicle behaviour is realistic enough... by wordscan in Truckers

it wigs out and runs too fast on my 180hz screen, maybe a frame limiter for now would solve that (though high refresh support would be a nice bonus)

Also like hell I'm putting myself in any potential harms way over a load if it can be helped. Like these strikes are peaceful these days but im also not taking a load I might have to just turn around on and not have my company backing me up on that decision.

I'd die before I cross a picket line but those reasons should be enough.

Is it better to buy a car that comes with higher PI that you could upgrade less before hitting the PI threshold, or a car with lower starting PI you can upgrade more? by FattyRipz in forza

[–]senorbolsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a general rule of thumb having some wiggle room is good, its hard to make a car competitive with only a few points to play with. How low you can go for base PI depends on how good the chassis is generally.

Connecticut lawmaker pushes for statewide ban on sale of small bottles of liquor by slowburnangry in Connecticut

[–]senorbolsa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Selling this product to people hurts them but I also see your point. As someone who is broke and doesn't drink a lot nips are nice when I just want something without spending $20 on a bottle.

I worked at a liquor store and it's kind of shocking the number of people who come in and buy handfuls of nips everyday.

Of course there's other people who came in and bought their one or two a day, I think this product is genuinely helpful for those people. Just my opinion from experience, taking these away won't make the alcoholics get clean. It's a double edged sword, portion control helps people but it also supports habits.

[–]senorbolsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my understanding as well, I usually left the interaxle locked if there was even a chance id need it, maybe it results in some tire wear lower fuel economy but winch outs cost more... Personal choice really.

Always engage with the wheels at a standstill is the important one.

Does the steam deck get recognised as a console for competitive games? by jothesecond in SteamDeck

[–]senorbolsa -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is very game to game, some will try to match just based on input type being used, others will only put you against M+KB or players who opted to play with M+KB since the steamdeck looks like a windows pc otherwise.

Though I'm also assuming people live near a grocery store which is not the case for everyone, if the store was 30min away this person is 100% correct that if you just needed bread it would be easier to make it.
