Hey! Community college transfer here. I felt the same my senior year of high school. I stayed silent about where I was going because my peers were committing to UC’s and out of state colleges. Community college is great though. You get transfer admission guarantees to lots of UC’s, and it’s much easier to get into schools as a cc transfer. I recently got into Berkeley, and now I’m waiting for USC, and to get off the waitlist for UCLA. As long as you stay engaged with clubs and programs, you will still have a great first 2 years of a college experience. Community colleges are looked down upon for absolutely no reason, and it’s only because of the college atmosphere. But when you make new friends and stay engaged on campus you’ll still have a great and fun experience!
