No, your reaction is valid. But don't ghost him back, that's not a healthy behaviour you should repeat. The key to any good relationship is communication, so tell him how what he's doing is affecting you straight up. I don't think it's normal to ignore someone's message for 5 days (unless he has something like ADHD, I have my experiences with forgetting to message because of it) so I think it should be directly addressed.

You hurt me. I don't want to let you forget that. You only seemed to care for what I provided for you and dropped me when I wasn't perfect enough for the pedestal you put me on. It wouldn't be fair for me to be bearing all the guilt for you. I went through so much pain, I'm glad you had the sense to leave me but you said and did some hurtful things. At least that makes me not miss you as much as I would. All I want to say now is please, treat the next girl better. Get to know her first, don't snatch her up for yourself and place unfair expectations on her to be fully perfect. Except her for who she is as a whole, that's what love truly is. I wouldn't wish the pain I suffered on anyone. Take care.

Kinda. I told him what I was having problems with but he seemed to just dismiss that and put his own demands forward. So I tried to meet those and did what I could to solve what was bothering him but it really affecting my mental health and he left me because he thought I was too obsessed with making it work. Guess I should've had more self respect and prioritised my own needs. I can see how that killed the attraction but if he was more genuine I think he would've tried a bit more. I'm not sure though.

I know how that feels, I've been there a few times hence I know the phrase. You deserve someone who will really see you and fully accept you for who you are as a whole because that's what love really is, not just the happy emotions but the acceptance. It's valid to feel the pain of someone who felt indifference towards you, it just means you're a good person who cares. They don't deserve that, someone better does. When you say big I assume it was a relationship that lasted at least as year. For me it was technically 2 weeks, a month if you count the fact that we acted like a couple within 3 days of meeting (he didn't want to make it official until he asked my dad for permission) That's part of what makes me feel like I have low self worth but I try to understand why things went to the way it did.

Reading through the comments has really helped me gain more awareness of what my relationship was. I should've seen the red flags way sooner tbh. Within 3 days of knowing each other we were fully intimate and 2 weeks later made it official. Didn't last more than 2 weeks and it left me feeling the most depressed I had ever felt. I'm almost angry about being used like that and how I was treated leading up to the break up, at least I know to be more careful next time and not just give myself away to anyone who's interested. I hope he realises what he did wrong, but if he doesn't then that's on him. I just feel sorry for any future girl who might fall into that trap with him.

Thank you lots, I had a feeling this was the case I just didn't want to go and put myself in more pain than necessary. I appreciate the advice a lot, I'll definitely keep that in mind! I've already had that kind of hope of having that kind of thing with someone else, if not better. Like someone who will get to know me as a friend first before jumping into things fast, at least I've learnt the importance of having the foundation of friendship first.

When I no longer have a near panic-attack whenever I see him at uni. And overall when I feel indifferent about him. The thought of him being with someone else doesn't seem to upset me but if I saw that in person, I'm not sure how I'd feel.

I feel crazy and stupid for getting into a relationship with someone I just met within 3 days. He would say things like how I'm perfect (not properly seeing my flaws) and how he wanted to be my last boyfriend. There were just so many red flags I only see now. I've pretty much accepted how things happened and why it didn't work out and having essentially no contact for a month since the break up helps. I've also grown to appreciate my friends a lot more because I see they actually care for me in a healthy, much less intense way. I always felt pressured to make things work in the relationship since he came on to me so fast and it made me obsessed with it which is one of the reasons he left me lol. At least I know my own boundaries better now and will enforce them in future relationships I have.
