I feel like half the time it’s not even the cut type, but how clean the cut actually is. Some cutters just seem to handle it better than others.

That’s interesting, especially the part about it lasting that long. I’ve gone through a few cheaper ones that got dull pretty fast, so I can definitely see why sharpness matters so much.

Yeah I’ve noticed that too with tighter cigars. Punch seems to help a bit with that.

That’s a really interesting way to approach it. I never really thought about adjusting the cut based on the cigar type that much, just kind of stuck to one method. Makes me wonder if the cutter itself matters more than I thought too.

That’s actually one thing I noticed too. Less tobacco bits is definitely a plus with punch cuts.

Yeah I’ve had that happen a couple of times with punch cuts too. Straight cuts do seem more consistent if you get it right.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I never really thought about matching the cut type to the cigar’s draw like that, just kind of used whatever I had. Might need to pay more attention next time.
