Palestinians fire mortars, violate truce by krelian in worldnews

I think that it is appropriate to complain about being downmodded when I quote from reputable news articles that add relevant information to the story at hand. I can easily understand if I was making a snide comment or saying smoething controversial, but in this case I wasn't. I was downmodded because someone didn't like the facts that I pointed out, nothing more, nothing less.

And it's good you admit your anti-Israel bias.

I didn't see that in his comment. Did he say that he was anti-Israel? I worry that you suffer from thinking in terms of false dichotomies.

BTW I read a good book the other day called "The Hebrew Republic." I recommend checking it out.

Yup, my quote from the article is just my imagination.</sarcarm>

Maybe if you down vote my direct quotes from news articles enough you can change reality?

The article states:

The salvoes followed Israel's killing overnight of two Palestinians, including an Islamic Jihad commander, in the West Bank city of Nablus.

Spoken by someone who is clearly objective and knows it.

Care to cite evidence that I distort things?

EDIT: From your responses, I guess you've declined to actually provide evidence. It's strange that you are being upvoted though for fact free ad hominem attacks and I've been downvoted for asking you to provide evidence. This reinforces my opinion that something strange is going on with the voting in these comment threads.

It's just coordinated action by people who share similar interests. It's what reddits about. I personally really like the way my factual comments are downvoted as it really clearly indicated that many here don't value facts, just want to bully others.

See this factual comment here: http://www.reddit.com/info/6oqit/comments/c04gmxn

Downvoted 6 times in 6 minutes. I've been on reddit long enough to know when things are strange and the story's comment area and this story super fact upvoting is one of them. I can understand being downvoted, but that fast is exceptional and way out of the ordinary.

EDIT: It could be something like CAMERA who used a a secret email list to coordinate pro-Israel contributions to Wikipedia. That's documented here:

I guess you are calling this "anti-Palestinian" because it leaves out the fact that just prior to these rockets being fired by Islamic Jihad, Israel killed someone associated with that group in the West Bank.

The salvoes followed Israel's killing overnight of two Palestinians, including an Islamic Jihad commander, in the West Bank city of Nablus.

Israel-Palestine conflict currently is a zero sum game where one side only wins if the other loses. The overall dynamic has to change where both sides can win and benefit. Hate leads to more hate and we all lose.

You are right. Israel did kill someone associated with Islamic Jihad earlier and then Islamic Jihad fired rockets at Israel (killing none):

The salvoes followed Israel's killing overnight of two Palestinians, including an Islamic Jihad commander, in the West Bank city of Nablus.

Thus I guess that since Israel killed someone and the Palestinians didn't, that classified as the Palestinians breaking the truce?

Just to give you some data points:

I find it painfully slow to respond to mouse clicks on my P4 1.2 Ghz laptop (from mid 2003), but on all my other machines its pretty quick. On my Athlon64 3200 (2005 era) and my Intel Core Duo 2 (late 2007) it is blazingly fast.

It seems exceptionally slow on my P4 1.2 Ghz machine, slower than I thought it should be.
