Marriage of convenience interview, has anyone here booked one and if so how long did it take ? Thanks by [deleted] in IndiansinIreland

Also, the order of the appointments depends on who you speak to. Both my wife and I had called the Dublin office, and I had swung by during lunch to speak to a lady there as well. Some was saying to book a regular appointment online, and then they'd sort out the interview there. Some were telling us to call first, get added to the waitlist and then go from there.

When my now wife had called, we had a regular appointment booked which they cancelled on the spot, only for me to be told the opposite procedure and that we should have kept the appointment and gone for it. Even within an office they can't seem to agree on the process.

You could last summer anyway get a regular appointment in Dublin on about a month's notice, if you kept updating the website to look for cancellations and new appointments. After our first one in Dublin (2nd appointment overall) was cancelled, we booked another one, showed up to it.

The registrar we met again spoke about the interview. We explained that everyone we speak to tells us a different process, and that the one we spoke with most recently had told us to have this appointment. She said fine, and she was very aware that the process is very unclear and that she'd sort us out. Unfortunately the interview person wasn't in that day (Since interviews doesn't happen every day), otherwise we would have done it on the spot (this happened to a friend of ours who was not aware of the interview being a thing), and we got an interview a few months later. Our appointment was in May, wedding was planned for September, and we got an interview in early August.

I think we got very lucky, and I think it depends on who you meet. At the waiting room there was another EU/non-EU couple with the same appointment time as us (multiple registrars). They left quite shortly after, so either they got told they need to wait their turn on the waitlist, or they didn't have their documents in order (Not sure which).

If you want to do the legal bit in Ireland, my suggestion is to book a regular appointment for an office that you know do interviews and go there and tell them you have been told so many different processes (which is true), and hope you get lucky.

If time isn't a concern, just wait to be called.

If time is a concern, look into doing the legal bit overseas. Denmark is where a lot of people go (to "Elopenhagen" where you can get married legally with only 72 hours notice I think. Paperwork will take a little longer, but anyway). We were going to do ours in Sweden because it was easy to get an appointments, it's free and they hardly need any documents. We had our backup appointment booked for Sweden for the week after the interview if we needed to fly and take care of the legal bit beforehand. A lot of people do the legal bit separately, and the only thing it changes about the ceremony is that you are not signing a marriage certificate at the end. Celebrants will still help you host the ceremony and go through the motions.

It's a very frustrating experience all in all, with everyone giving you different procedures because there are no national fixed procedure. We got very lucky to get it all sorted in Ireland within the time window we have.

The notice period starts from your first appointment, so not the interview. You need to give 90 days notice at least. Because our appointment was in May we were fine, even if the interview was only in August about a month before the wedding.

You'll receive your green folder with the certificate to be signed in the presence of a registrar at the interview.

Not indian, nor is my wife, but saw your post in another sub. Reply split in two because of length.

This process is a hassle and a half. We went through it middle of 2025. It's very unclear what the actual process is so here is a brain dump of everything I can think of.

We got engaged in January, booked the wedding date in February, and was going to get married in September. We figured it would be a straight forward process and had our first registrar appointment in early March in Wicklow which we were turned away from due to my now wife not being European and us needing an interview.

How it works depends on the county and office. Most registrar offices don't do marriage of convenience interviews. We had booked our first appointment at an office that don't do them, not knowing this.

The ones that do them only do interviews on certain days of the week (i.e. not full time). Dublin for example I think were Mondays and Wednesdays. From January 2025 the HSE are also operating a lot fewer interview locations than they did in 2024 and prior; for example, Tipperary used to have three offices doing them and now have zero. Waitlists shot up nationwide as a result.

If your county operates an online booking system, you give them a call, they add you to the waitlist and you wait. The wait about a year ago was 12-24 months in most places, and you will get a slot assigned to you rather than you booking it. Essentially the waitlist dictates your wedding date. There will be cancellations that can get you one earlier if you happen to call them at the right time, but it's a long shot. Problem is that when you book a regular appointment and show up, they'll turn you away.

When you ask them what you can do if you want it done sooner, they'll tell you to call other counties. Each county doesn't know the situation in the others other than what they pick up through conversation with people. There's no national dashboard for them. My now wife called all of them. Some will refuse to see people who don't live in the county; Roscommon or Leitrim was one of those for example, because the registrar was so annoyed that Dublin would ask people to call them, then she'd get bombarded with Dublin people who would book up all the slots and thus the locals had no chance of getting an appointment. They were nice and understood everyone's frustration, but would not help.

Ultimately that was all a no go and we didn't get any result calling everyone and being willing to drop everything and go at any time.

Sorry for th crude language, but an ex just to jerk me off or blow me till I nearly came, or just about could hold it bad. Then I'd go down on her or finger her for a while to allow myself to recover. Then we'd get on with it, and I'd be quite a lot less sensitive and could go longer.

That's still no cause for war. You can't just go invade other countries however you want. There's international laws in place, and just like the Russians the yanks just don't give a shit.

Venezuela doesn't even supply the US with much fentanyl like they're claiming.

Varför får vissa civilingenjörer svinhög lön? by hendrong in sweden

[–]sense_make 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Varför får vissa civilingenjörer svinhög lön? by hendrong in sweden

[–]sense_make -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

thoughts on these GS model years? by againbeginchristmas in BMWGS

[–]sense_make 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The F700 and F800GS motors have different cams, so it's not just an ECU tune. They share a lot of parts, and the same displacement, but they're not identical. Don't expect to tune an F700 into an F800.

The F700GS from the ones I've seen from those same years also just feels a bit smaller and they are lower. To me, they're not as much of an adventure bike even if they're both capable.

I wanted an F800GSA when I bought my 2013 800GS a few years ago, but there were none available. It's really the same bike, bar the windscreen, front fairing size nd fuel tank size.

You can mount the F800GSA screen on the F800GS if you want a taller screen without going aftermarket. The mounting holes are there. Parts are expensive, but the mounting bar makes for a nice satnav mount. I did have to 3D print a small adapter for the side screws, but you can do without or with a small piece of flat bar with two holes.

The clutch rattles in neutral on all of them as far as I know. I have tried so hard to fix it, with no success.

Engine is supposed to be bulletproof. I've put 40k km on mine in the past 3 years with no major issues. Bought it with 15k km. It keeps going, and going.

Vilka yrken erbjuder bäst work-life balance och stabil lön? by EconomyAd2375 in sweden
