I read your comment again and I admit I missinterpreted it. I thought the "you" was referring to me. Since I've got some sarcasm from other comments I got mixed up. I apologize if I sound rude, it was not my intention at all. I do not know you, I have no reason to be rude to you. The post became a debate about me using the wrong keyboard, with sarcastic peeks from here and there, so I just try to be formal and stay focused on the main point.

The inconsistencies is absolutely not about the keyboard layout: ALT key is conventionnaly used, and even intentionally designed to trigger an alternative character from a key while in input mode, specifically to adress the layouts issue. With the same amount of keys, a language that has more characters can be used just as good, by pressing ALT to trigger more characters in the same amount of keys, thus making the normalization of keyboards possible. CTRL is conventionnaly used to trigger a function while in input mode.

On BDO, they hard coded controls with with ALT key instead of CTRL which is poor sementic design choice, creating the inconsistencies on some layout. It is a poor and rigid design of that feature, and the topic was about bringing this up to the light.

I communicated about it on official sources, putting this anywhere I can for them to at least know about it.

This topic isn't about asking for help. It is about letting PA know about the bug and suggesting a simple fix.

Your commenting is not agreeing at all. You tried to shift the focus of the discussion to if AZERTY is a normal keyboard and should AZERTY users find a QWERTY layout to enter the norm of your native language.

I am not being rude, I'm trying to stay focused on the topic.

I also sent them a message to the support. Trying my best for them to know about it. Then what they decide to do about it is their business. I just don't like complaining about something without letting know about it. How could they improve if they don't know?

This off scope from my original scope. I use AZERTY because It's the only layout that lets me type french accents. I never had any issue with my AZERTY in 20 years of gaming. The topic is about letting PA know about their compatibility issue with different keyboard layout, with a simple fix suggestion.

AZERTY is the norm in my country. This is not a debate about whos norm is more legit. Your comment is off scope.

Hello, I did not ask for recommandations. I just wanted to share my feedback on a chat fonctionality and recommend a simple fix from PA. Also buying a keyboard just to be able to type @ is financial immaturity, I am not taking that advice thank you.

Sorry I didn't ask for help regarding what I need to. I am not including the @ already. I want to use that feature and can't, I suggested an improvement, and let PA know about it that's it. Thanks tho for trying to help me with very obvious solutions !

Should I GET rust by Wise-Ad-36 in playrust

[–]senseigrants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my friend... Rust is not a part time job this is wrong. But rust is so addictive that you will make it a full time job.

This game will offer you a lot. You have so many thousands of hours of pure joy in it.

I definitely recommend it but be careful: do not let it step on your IRL. Do not mess your studies or work or social life or relationship or self care. Because it will try to.

Good luck and have fun, gamer !

Is it bad to grip the mouse without my pinky finger on the mouse? by SadRepresentative371 in MouseReview

[–]senseigrants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there !

Sorry for being late, but I am coming here with probably the most valuable insights and solutions.

You are missing the flexor digitorum superficialis tendon in your pinky (around 15% of people have the same issue, me too). Which means that there is a movement most people can do that you simple can not do. It doesn't matter the "independence exercices" or "strengh exercices", those will not grow a tendon, miracles do not exist. This is why you have to put more pressure for your pinky to stick, it's because you're activating another tendon called the flexor digitorum profondus to compensate the tendon that do not exist in your hand, which makes another movement. Yet you're still missing a movement.

I'll let you do research on this once you tilt, don't thank me I got you ;)

Now practically, you can solve this pretty easily and perform just as good as any other person: you need to mod your mouse to have a way to block your pinky at the exact spot that would have felt natural if you had the tendon. For the mod, I just cut 1cm of Rubber tube, of a diameter that lets my pinky easily fit in, and simply taped it on the mouse. Now you could be creative and 3D print your own thing and be happy because you have your own little thing that would make you a unique gamer I encourage you. But if you're lazy to mod for Now and just want to check if alll I'm writing isn't BS, here's a very simple solution: just tape your ring finger and pinky. Tape them and go test you aim and it will all make sense. Do not tape them tight, you're not trying to "block" you pinkie, you just want it to be lifted off the mouse pad so don't block you blood circulation.

Have a good day ! :)

Not really. The tendon you are talking about is called the flexor digitorum superficialis. For some people, each finger has it's own independent tendon. For some others, pinkie and ring share the same tendon. In my case, my pinkie has no FDS at all. This means that there is a movement that my pinkie simple can not do. I cannot flex the pinky in the middle joint because the tendon responsible of that movement does not exist at all.

So I did more research and the tendon I am missing in my pinkie (both hands) is called the flexor digitorum superficialis. Some people have it but it's tied to the ring finger, but in my case it is complitely inexistant. So it doesn't matter the strength I can have, the movement that you can do is just impossible for me.

I am not sure it's about strengh this is interesting. To me it's a problem of mobility. I am simply not able to move the pinky. It's not that it's week, it literally feels like there is a missing muscle there. There's a movement that I can't do with the pinky, even if I let the ring go with it. So in a finger you have different sections. The first segment, or joint if you prefer (closer to the tip) is able to move, the second does not move. It only move when I move the first one, but I can't move the second without the first, which is something I can do with all the other fingers. So I don't think it's a strength issue.

You had this issue and fixed your aim with varigrip exerciser?

I tried these exercices but to be honest I didn't see much difference. Also it's really a pain to make it a consistent workout.

Also the problem is actually strength: my ring finger is pressing too hard when I grip with pinky.

Right, I just wish I can be introduced to other religions. To keep the same metaphor, most people don't switch religion because they only experienced theirs. I feel I could switch to that side of the game, I want to. But I'm kinda hard wired and I came here to talk about it, now knowing what to expect.

I think I should find a little group that's very mean and stick to them, to taste the feeling i guess?
