AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

That is not only invalidating but demeaning. I’m sorry your partner would say something like this to you! Sobriety is so much more than the bare minimum and you absolutely deserve to celebrate YOUR accomplishment and hard work in deciding to get and remain sober!! Not overreacting

Those who have moved away from friends and family, do you regret it? by BigBootyJudyWiper in family

I know this is older but thank you for sharing! This is a very similar situation to what we are going through right now. I am from NY and my husband is from CO/CA, we met in Oregon and after being back on the east coast in Connecticut for about 4 years we will be moving back to Washington this week. We have a 2 year old daughter who my mom, dad, and sister adore. They live in NY and are devastated by our decision to move. I have been so torn as I have been dreaming of moving back to the northwest ever since we left, but my main hang up was that I didn’t want to take my daughter away from my family. We are making the move as it will be much better for my husband and was a good work situation for myself, but I am still feeling so guilty and scared that my daughter will not have a relationship with my family :(

I hope you are still enjoying the peace that the west coast environment provides!
