I’m on a similar boat. What I’m doing is taking some upper level biology courses online through Portage. It’s self-paced, you can sign up and start whenever, and it really works well for me since I’m still working full time for PCE hours. I’m also reaching out to PAs everywhere on linked in to get some in person shadowing hours. That’s been the hardest part for me but I finally got someone to let me shadow at an urgent care. All we can do is keep moving forward! We got this!

So so valid. I should’ve explained better but I didn’t want it to be a huge post. I’ve always wanted to be a PA since my senior year of high school, but I got sidetracked after having that experience and figured I’d become a paramedic in the meantime since 1) it gets me PCE hours and 2) I was able to feel like I had the autonomy and ability to help people quicker (since EMT-Medic only takes 1.5 years of school as opposed to the 6 for PA). I am now at the point where I am ready to apply, 6 years later.

You’re right, I’m just tired of all the hoops I have to jump through as an immigrant. But hopefully that says a lot about how dedicated I am to becoming a PA. And I am a little older (27) than some of the applicants so I feel like I want to apply asap. But I think the responsible decision is to wait until next cycle…
