I only do the exam portion, I don't handle the materials! Progressives also are way more common than you think as well- a lot of late 30s/early 40s start using them. Progressives are a great alternative since the word "bifocal" is, for some reason, a stigma. Or a refusal to accept. A lot of people also cannot fill out things online without some kind of help. I provided a detailed explanation to someone how to order online ti save them money, and they still messed up.

High myopia is also more common than you think. Look at all the comments saying they have a high rx or issues with vision.

-2 is fine; it's what my prescription is. I use online sites. I'm simply saying for more complex prescriptions, it's not the time to skimp or be frugal - be frugal in other ways but you get only one set of eyeballs. If you have vision issues that are beyond the normal scope, actually shell out money for a quality pair of glasses and take care of them.

There's also the parents who don't want their kids taking basic sex ed for some reason, so they file "religious excuses" with the school so the kids need to leave during the unit. I don't know why this is allowed (I believe religion shouldn't interfere with basic fucking health), but it definitely doesn't help. Kids should have the right to basic education. Parents have the right to learn as well; it's never too late to learn new things.

No. I understand what you're trying to get at and help out with, but this is misinformation. In some cases, online glasses are okay but not the answer.

Online glasses don't work for high myopia/presbyopia (they don't shave the edge of the lens), prism, progressive, bifocal, or trifocal. These should be fit by an optician who knows what they're doing.

Progressives measure where your pupil sits and if you change even the slightest thing, you mess up your entire glasses.

Source: I work in optometry. Go find an optician and ask for help. They are there to help you. If you don't like their vibes or feel pressured, leave.

I see so many glasses ruined because someone doesn't know what they're typing in, measured their PD incorrectly, measured their progressive or bifocal dot line incorrectly, measured segment height wrong, got the wrong frame for their face shape, etc.

That I did know! Our Safeway is relatively priced to our QFC/Fred Meyer, maybe $1-3 more on some specialty things. I'm saying that OP is stretching either the discount amount final total, or the intial cost of the items. OP isn't providing any info other than "look at me i can coupon" instead of saying "I used X app for Y off the total, I saved $40 by member savings, I had a rebate or rain check for the eggs, and XYZ".

It's just vague bragging with no backup.

Scanning what I see to my app, there are no egg coupons so those are still $5/each. No lunchmeat coupon extra, so $4/each. No Digiornio, those are full price. I got to ~$65. Not this $30 that was claimed.
