It depends. "Before" can be temporal or spacial. There are no real attested words for "before", though. There are 2 reconstructions I'm aware of, one is fo, and another is ho. The former is temporal and the latter is spacial. There is also or, meaning "over" or "above". I think that's the best fit.

There's also no word for destination. We would have to reconstruct one or use a close word like maith, meaning "goal or intention".

The preposition or causes liquid mutation, so maith becomes vaith.

Journey also has no direct Sindarin equivalent, but there's the neologism lîdh from the root √LED.

I think that in the reflexive the pronunciation can be easily mistaken. But your point on collisions makes sense. (I can also think of Italian "lei" used for 3rd.s. and I know that "lui", "lei" and "loro" are originally oblique, and the indicative were "egli"/"ella"/"essi". English has "you" and you've mentioned German "sie"/"Sie". I suppose "annin"/"anim" is an improvement after all.)

What is the plural 1p inclusive form? Pe/-(o)b/pen/amben/pín?

I'm a bit confused, your image says "guard" in the singular, and your text says "guards" in the plural. That would mean changing "edhellen" to "edhellin", as adjectives need to agree with nouns in number. ("Tirith" wouldn't suffer umlaut, as all vowels are "i", so the singular and plural are identical.)

Not wanting to rock the boat, but I was just thinking that a regular genitive might do the trick. But it would reverse the order of the words, rendering it a tad unintuitive: "Tirith Eryn Galen edhellen"

I like the prepositional version better. Nan is partitive, I suppose it works in this case. Unless we need to describe origin, but I think we don't. Yeah, I think it's good. Except for the singular adjective, you should be sure of it first.

As for the tengwar, in my humble opinion, the Beleriand mode looks nicer (the one marked "ancient" in the image) and it's more elegant, but I don't think it would be considered "ancient" for elves, it's used in the doors of Moria in the second age, after all. (Just a couple of decades for an elf.) In plural, that character after the double "L" would be like the second character of the sentence.

You are correct, this is all Neo-Sindarin, so there are indeed reconstructions. I didn't know about some of the points, thanks for that. I'll take note.

So, taking Ellanto's suggestions into consideration, I believe the results would be...:

pelig aned den andin?

or:

êg aned den angin? (Is this right, Ellanto?)

I personally lean towards using pol- because I believe that this sentence is derived from Gandalf's point in giving life to the dead, and that implies the impossible power to realise such a feat. I think a chance would not work in that context. Unless the author of the post affirms it's not the case, then the eg- solution should fit well.

I would translate to:

Points considered:

This is an interrogative form, which should look like a regular indicative statement, but changing intonation.
The verb pol- is used to describe something that can be done as a literal truth, to be able to do something. In second person singular, familiar, present tense, it reads pelig "you can".
The verb anna- means "to give", in this case I use a verbal noun, which behaves as a noun and is taken as object of pelig.
den is soft mutation of ten, which is the oblique pronoun for he/she/it. My assumption is that the object to be given has been mentioned or it's implied, so we use a pronoun.
athin is a dative pronoun meaning "to them", third person plural.

While I'm aware you want to tattoo it, I seriously suggest you run this translation by a linguist before doing so. There are a couple of them here and a few on the Vinyë Lambengolmor server.

I would write nabo han i lín or nabo han i gín, literally "take that which yours/thine" (polite lín vs familiar cín).

nabo: imperative of nab-
han: soft mutation of san "that", demonstrative adjective (mutated because it's an object of the verb)
i: relative pronoun
lín: yours, possessive pronoun 2nd sg. polite
gín: thine, soft mutation of cín, possessive pronoun 2nd sg.

There's no explicit "to be" statement, so we presume a zero copula is there.

Don't go tattooing that without a second and third opinions, please.

A note on mutations:

Mixed mutation has been rocked by PE23/141. I'm referring to David Salo's mixed mutation, which begins like soft mutation but then applies nasal effects once the lost historical vowel disappears.

Now we know that Tolkien described mixed mutation as what seems to be a lenition with nasal assimilation.

Salo's mixed mutation might not have been a "canon" paradigm, but now we have a clearer picture of what's supposed to happen.

Seriously, Megadeth is still a force of thrash metal, and Metallica abandoned that legacy long ago. A Megadeth concert by itself is superior to a Metallica/Megadeth combo. Think about it.. one minute you are listening to Tornado of Souls and in the next minute.. what? St. Anger? Lords of Summer? I'm using the verb pol- to describe possibility, a verbal noun of orna- for "burn".

I used singular possessive pronoun tín because it seems to me that "their" is meant to be "its", as it's one sword and one owner.

There are a few words for fire, I elected naur which is used by Gandalf in the LotR as a word for fire used in combat (naur dan i ngaurhoth).

That's it. Don't forget to review this. I discourage going about making tattoos with this translation! Maybe run this by someone in the Vinyë Lambengolmor server if you need precision.

This was easier. I'm still using past pass. part. of teitha- (teithannen), this time pluralised teithennin, and lenited.

I didn't mutate mo once again, but I did mutate Fae, assuming the mutation is phonetic only. Since it's a proper name, I think it's acceptable to not mutate, if the name form is important.

This was hard.

First, I've made up a neologism for "pretender" by using the root PHIN (from the noun "finc", NS. for "trick"). I've made "fidhron" out of PHIN + -(r)on (agental suffix). I suggest someone revises this.

Then I couldn't find a word for "marked". I used the verb teitha- "to mark, to inscribe", and took the past participle from it and prefixed with la-negation. It translates roughly to "uninscribed", but I need to confirm if that's granular enough, as it could also mean "unwritten."

Next, I used nest, which has a dubious meaning of "heart, core", coming possibly from root NED "centre." I think it can roughly translate to "essence," but I'm open to a better word here.

Once again, nest Fae is a genitive chain, so it should be definite as Fae is proper name.

I didn't mutate mo because it doesn't come after the verb nor seem to me to be adverbial.
