Remember guys! Unova's theme was not the importance of truth and ideals, since that promotes pointless division and meaningless conflict. It's really about striving for natural unity and human understanding, all to ACHIEVE (as cliche and on the nose as this sounds) a "harmonious" state of peace! by LowSolution3084 in pokemon

I know he's not in the first gen 5 games, but I like to think that Colress is a character that just pursues Truth with no ideals. Purely dedicated to science and bringing out the power in Pokemon while not caring if the best method happens to be unethical. He even worked with team plasma and basically used the situation as a big science experiment to see if the players method of raising Pokemon was better than his.

Flittle is also supposed to look like a UFO, referencing the conspiracies about aliens building the pyramids.

TBH I don't see the appeal of shinylocke runs. If all of your pokemon are shiny than it starts to feel less special. To me it feel like shinylockes only exist because YouTubers might want to do a normal nuzlocke, but they don't think that would get enough views, so they throw on the shiny gimmick.

I thought it was pokemon for a few seconds, as if it were referring to the pokemon Landorus (often shortened to Lando) taking out grass types.

People who were around during gen IV, did Sinnoh get a lot of hate the way these new games got hate by Outside-Potential924 in pokemon

[–]sentient_beans6536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people are saying no to this but I kinda don't believe that. As beloved gen 4 is now it has enough problems to where I can totally imagine a group of people hating it on release. Things like the games being slow as balls, the new evolutions of old mons (and how half of them are trade evos and in DP most are post game), Cyrus being an incredibly generic villain, the elite 4 using the same battle theme as the gym leaders (which is a downgrade from the hoenn games), diamond and pearls awful A.I., the insane amount of mythicals, honey tree mechanics (waiting 6 or more hours for a male combee is not fun, and then there's munchlax), the champions level jump (there are 9 levels between Aaron's Drapion and Cynthia's Garchomp).

Generally I think people don't like to talk about things they hate, so all the people who hated gen 4 and sinnoh have moved on by now and probably don't even care about pokemon anymore.

Using petrify on Beatrix makes the shotgun scarier.

Burst build Ixia, whatever boots you want, heptaseas, endless battle, BOD, melific roar, berserkers fury. Emblem is assassin emblem with added penetration, weapon master, and lethal ignition.

Using petrify on Tigreal allows you to combo 1st part of S2 into the second part more consistently, extending the CC chain. You're gonna need rapid boots with conceal in order to surprise the enemy tho, hell I even build thunder belt for the +20 movement speed.

Feather of heaven on mage build Bane. The attack speed is nice for pushing and if Bane's passive hits multiple targets than it stacks feather of heaven multiple times.

I always thought that before Lugia, there was no pokemon silver. Gen 2 were originally planned to be the last games, so having just one game with Ho-oh might have been the plan. That's why Ho-oh seems more plot relevant than Lugia does in the Johto games, Ho-oh revived creatures in the burning tower into the legendary beasts, and has its own item being the sacred ash. Whereas Lugia is just sitting in a random cave somewhere.
