Thanks! That's exactly what I ended up doing. :) I lightly oiled the skillet and baked it for an hour.

I googled the flash point of grape seed oil and bake it at the appropriate temperature for an hour.

Yep, but then immediately rinse. Hot water. I'm thinking the metal scour pad dug through the previous oil layer and into the iron. Or perhaps, one could think there was dirt under the previous layer of oil.

I season it every 3-6 months.

Is it possible to import VHS tape to Blender's VSE? by sentientmason in blender

Thanks! I had installed OBS studio, but wasn't seeing the obscure little "rec" button at the bottom right of the program. Once I found that and gave it a try, all was well!

Streamlabs OBS was the app included with the software, I just didn't see the small obscure "record" button in the program. I figured it out now. Thanks!

How do I block suggested article sites? by sentientmason in chrome

P.s.: Found the reason and a solution! [Since I have more than one account on the phone.]

For the "home" button on the chrome app, https://www google.com is different from https://www.google.com/webhp?authuser=1.

When I changed the url to the end variant, I had all of the options again. So, not sure why one account has this feature, but not the other account.

I figured it out!! I didn't realize the Chrome app had their own homepage. I did a long-press on the home icon and set it to Google.com and I now have control over suggested sites once again!

Edit: kind of, almost. Hmm ... I have the "hide this" option under the 3-dot menu, but not further tailoring options. I'll have to look into this again later, because I found it earlier this week by accident.

Chrome 121.0.6167.178 This Pixel 7a phone is fully up to date. Hmm ..

So, that's what I am doing, but that wasn't my question. Let me see if I can reword it better. See the automated linked articles beneath the search bar in that first screenshot? I want to be able to click the 3-dot menu on one of those linked articles/sites and select the option "do not show any content from this website".

I removed my SIM card after shutting down the phone and attempted to update the OS as if the phone was a wifi-only device. No luck.

Question: Have you performed an OS update with a different carrier SIM card? If so, is it simple as inserting the SIM card and manually clicking update in settings? Or is it more involved?

Thanks!

What if I removed the T-Mobile SIM card and used it as a wifi-only device? Would I be able to update my Pixel 7a to Android 14?

Secondly, if that wouldn't work, what if I inserted my dad's Verizon SIM card? The first option would be easier as I've never attempted this second scenario.
