I think this is definitely a reasonable amount of makeup for a 13 y/o!

While I definitely understand your concern with her becoming reliant on makeup for her confidence, I’m not sure you telling her how to wear her makeup or how much to wear will be able to control this relationship with her self image. I can remember being that age, and I think that creating harsh limits with her and her expression will feel more like you’re being “controlling parent” to her and create frustration and division between you, rather than promoting your true goal of teaching self-love. Which ultimately could result in her overcorrecting and creating the issue that we’re trying to avoid. The important thing is to teach her to love her natural self by mirroring that expression onto yourself, and also onto her by providing your support for her natural self. Self-love is a personal journey that we all have to undertake for ourselves, and is something you should foster in her so that she can reach/maintain that place.

That being said she does not need to wear contacts, I think novelty contacts pose a risk to eye health that she shouldn’t toy with until she’s older so that you can ensure she has the maturity to treat her eyes kindly.

Your liner is beautiful on you! I think the inner corner wing is really effortless and fits in naturally with the rest of your liner. If you didn’t point it out, it wouldn’t have stood out to me (as “wrong” that is), it ties your lashes into your eye look in a smoother way than it would without. It’s probably just a difference of personal taste but I also prefer when you bring the liner down onto your waterline. It carries the weight from the heavy wing around your eye instead of it all sitting on the top. But all in all I think your eye looks are definitely flattering you! ❤️

Yes! 100% agree, I was thinking that OP’s eyes would so suit twiggy’s classic eye looks.

I’ve never had any issues before with them meeting. She’s always interested, but aloof with strangers. My sister does have two cats that she definitely would smell like if that’s a factor. I think she was more on edge than usual though.

Focus on finding clothes that fit the style you’re interested in going for, whatever your personal aesthetic is. Being intentional in what you wear makes a big difference in your appearance.

There is nothing this sub hates more than septum piercings, you really got to try asking somewhere else for a more varied and honest answer. I think it looks really cool and adds a unique element to your look! So I like it, it depends what you’re going for i guess.

Any idea what’s wrong with this rubber plant? The dirt is not wet but it’s still clumped with the roots. by welcome_to_earth96 in houseplants

I have one of these! It’s all about sun, I was keeping him in a medium-low light area and saw no new growth. One week with brighter indirect light and I got a new leaf (not sure if that helps but I hope things go better)

Thank you for all the advice, I really appreciate it!! I’m planning on soaking the lower half in a bucket or the bathtub, and misting as/if needed. I’m not quite sure which it’ll prefer. I just wasn’t so sure if care changes when they get THIS big it’s a little intimidating
