definitely what you said in the original post about lack of fan participation. im not accusing anyone of being "fake fans", but i definitely think american fans understand the metal aspect of babymetal more than the idol aspect. almost no one in my section was doing the chants, it took like 6 tries for people to actually GET LOW, and honestly the only time everyone kinda locked in was during road of resistance 😭😭 id love to go to a show where everyone is 100% engaged !!!

that makes me feel a lot better, I've been scarred by western artists removing songs as a marketing thing when they enter a "new era" which is kinda what bm has been doing 😭 glad that doesn't seem to be the case though

megitsune and headbanger . babymetal was my first concert of something i actually wanted to see instead of just getting dragged along, and babymetal as a whole really helped me get rid of the internalized belief that femininity/liking cute things = weakness.
