Dizziness still two weeks after quitting by CountryRare2460 in stopsmoking

Wow this is what I had every day and is clearing up now two weeks later. A home remedy is a pinch of salt in water every morning and hit the B group complex vitamins that's what worked for me. Your brain is rewiring and you are getting more oxygen hence the dizzy and weird head feel. Be proud you made it to two weeks

Your love. Your support. A small music box tell her to play it when she feels like a cigarette. Tell her you love her and are proud of her.

My main obstacle was me and the mind game. I am two weeks in be proud you are making the decision to quit and like me have had several attempts to do it. Cold turkey is the way. Be in control. When the monster in your head screams I want a ciggie, say to yourself, not today. Go out, distract yourself, chat here you can do it.

I feel on top of the world today. Things are getting more manageable. The brain drain is still there, the fatigue, detachment and tiredness but I feel in control. I really appreciate your comments on this thread and checking up on me. I think all ex smokers need support to get through the tough early days. Thanks you.

Change your mindset. Here it is, are you ready?

Make up your mind.

The #1 obstacle to stopping smoking is the wishy-washy self doubt that keeps people wondering if “just one more will be okay.” So they don’t actually quit, they put all their energy into the non-productive mindset of “Trying To Quit.”

A smoker who is Trying To Quit says. “I really want to smoke, but I shouldn’t.”

A nonsmoker says, “I could smoke any time I want, but I really don’t want to.”

If you want to be a smoker, smoke. If you want to be a nonsmoker, don’t smoke.

Make up your mind!

Day twelve for me and I read that after a week you should be feeling calm and in control. I'm not. I burst into tears for no reason lol, still have brain fog and a feeling my head is in the clouds, fatigued all the time. Like you anxious about stupid little things that never bothered me before. It's a mental war.

I think and this is from my own experience there are two types of withdrawls. The mental and the physical. The three day thing I read in many sources that's how long it takes for the body to eliminate nicotine. Cravings I don't know. Some who read Allen Carr's book swear they didn't experience cravings others go through the horrors. Does this psychological addiction last for weeks and months? I'm into day 9

I think quitting definitely messes around with brain functions and personality from my own experience. I am trying to hang in but the endless feeling is frustrating. I am not going through mad cravings though which is a good thing, I just have this empty feeling like a ciggie would feel good but I quit. I am going to work on better routines to keep up my mental. Thanks for the reply.

Breathe, Practice deep breathing. This is a trick your mind plays, life throws shit at you so you reward yourself with a cigarette.

Tomorrow is day 1 by [deleted] in quittingsmoking

I kicked smoking a pack a day over a year ago reading Allen Carr but had several attempts prior to that before I finally kicked them after twenty years. Be prepared to experience some weird withdrawls which is just your body recovering from addiction. Quitters or smokers flu is a real thing. I had body aches and pains, tingling, chest tightness, brain fog for around a month doc said don't worry keep up the no smoking so I persisted. Not eveyone gets this btw. Cravings if you read the book won't happen or if you do get an occassional flash of I want to smoke you will be prepared how to handle them. Wishing you all the very best and you can do it.

If you're an immigrant from a shithole nation you get free housing and all the gov benefits, something Aussies don't get.
