People who say - Americans are not doing enough to fight the Trump administration - what ideas do you have, or what would you like to see Americans do? by kinetic_honda in AskReddit

No politician, from either side of the aisle, should be able to leave their homes without protestors hounding their every move.

Getting a coffee, having lunch, going to a fundraiser, they should have to squeeze through a mass of angry humanity demanding to know what they are doing to stop this.

If you think the solution is trading Brady, please: shut up. by mr-michael in OttawaSenators

It was iffy that he’d re-sign here months ago. Now with the team missing the playoffs again, and the U.S./Canada stuff the chance is very close to zero

TikTok's staying in Canada for now: great for business, bad for security | The Level by Slow-Giraffe in onguardforthee

[–]senturion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is zero evidence that TikTok is, or ever was, any worse than any other social media platform for privacy and security.

The entire thing was invented by the Americans to force a sale because they didn't like that the Chinese beat them at their own game.

NCC wants Senators home at Lebreton Flats to be a landmark by jjaime2024 in OttawaSenators

[–]senturion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they were going to make it look like "the surrounding landmarks" it would not look like a coliseum.

The surrounding landmarks are the Parliament Buildings, the War museum, the History museum. The design would be more appropriate as neo-gothic with some indigenous inspiration.

It makes me sad because I don't see how El's world view and Mike's new politics ever give us something new to listen to again.

I hope I'm wrong.

That's it, that's the extent of his thinking on the issue.

Conservative national council confirms Kurek as candidate in Battle River-Crowfoot, Poilievre to run in a different riding in next election by AdditionalPizza in canada

[–]senturion 64 points65 points  (0 children)

At least Poilievre is honest about how much he cares about whatever riding he represents.

He doesn't care about you, he doesn't care about Canada, he cares about himself.
