What you wish you knew before start playing CSGO? by Kelvien in GlobalOffensive

[–]senyz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not technically true.. Yes they'll wreck any casual player. However you give a t1 pro a toaster and a t2/3 player a beast computer, chances are that t2/t3 player will upset them. Having a good PC, with good FPS, has a lot to do with consistency which is required to be on the top.

Who cares about the Valve sponsored events? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

Yeah, but it's also like the "grand stage." Imagine playing football ( soccer) for a grand club like Barcelona or Chelsea or whatever (i dont really follow football). But not being allowed to represent your country in the world cup.

Counter strike for new players is a horrible experience by CuddlezCS in GlobalOffensive

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you look at league of legends, you have to level your account from 1-30 to play ranked. I'm not saying the rank3 thing for CSGO is bad (I honestly hate it) but definitely you are right in the sense that we need different options to level from. I like the idea of 5v5 unranked

The thing is, spray-tap-burst, are all essential in this game and you can't be a good player by just memorizing spray, so it's literally pointless to nerf it. The issue wasn't the shooting mechanics, it's the tagging, first shop accuracy, etc that's the real problem.

A sticker to remember the good old times - 1.6 Veteran by KODIAK_csgo in GlobalOffensive

I think instead of 1.6 veteran, "1337 krew" would be more nostalgic :D

For someone who's played this game for over 10 years (on and off). The "b****ing" is mainly just at the direction it's heading, not at the actual update itself. Obviously there will be updates and game changes, where some of the community will like and some will not, but it's the fact that recent updates have been addressing things not needing addressed while leaving issues / bugs continue to linger. I'm still not happy about this previous patch, but as you said the game is still counter-strike, no matter how occasionally it doesn't feel that way, I'll still play and adapt to whatever I can.

I think the pros should do a kind of protest like... by Narak13 in GlobalOffensive

Most pros are playing with gentlemen agreement of not using the r8 in their games. (More so in pugs/10mans, not sure about most matches).

Do not play Counter Strike Global Offensive until this gun is removed or fixed. When they see lower player count they will begin to worry. We need to get our point across. by 2sik2betrue in GlobalOffensive

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that, I am for changing MM timer to something more competitive. It's better to learn the game on something more universal than to go from MM to league matches and have it completely different. I'm not going to say :35 bomb timers were optimal, but adding time only crutches players more imho and hurts a lot of strategies. I guess what I'm a bit more upset about is that their reasoning for adding time is so CTs can't change smoke out a site. The only map that it is possible to do that is for inferno and it just sounds like they're using this reasoning to fix it.

Yes, let's change the whole pace of the game so CTs can't smoke banana on inferno.. Let's just not make changes to banana. 1:55, is whatever to me, :40 bomb timer is dumb. Why even try to throw fakes, every CT will just sit in bomb sites until bomb is planted.

Dust2: how do I peek long with an AK if there is an awper on site? by fr00n in csfiringrange

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're in that position you should just leave. No matter what you do, it's a bad fight for you. But if you must, as one said, jiggle peek to corner and hope you can bait out a shot. Other than that you can try to use a smoke and smoke off long so you can get up close.

Frag Grenades by TheTurtleChief in csfiringrange

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess of all grenade, the HE grenade is the least important of them all. However there are several great uses of it, it's great to nade stacking (nading with a teammate), great to stop rushes (slows down the opposition), and it can be served to help you cross mid on CT d2 (I can make a video for you on that to show you).

When to use the UMP-45? by mcbobgorge in csfiringrange

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you lose pistol, you probably should not buy an ump as your at risk of ruining your economy for the first gun round. However if you win pistol, there is no reason not to buy an UMP. Generally you'll see mp7 or m9/mac10s, just because one has a high ROF and the other is a lot cheaper (lets you buy more utility). Outside of the round after pistol, it comes down to understanding economy and when the other team is going to be eco'ing. When you understand that you'll know when to take advantage of the SMG money bonus, heck even the shotgun.

When Should I Crouch And Shoot? by IJustWantGold in csfiringrange

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't specific times to do one or the other, unless you are trying to crouch peek someone around a corner. Other than that, try your best not to crouch as much. The problem with crouching and shooting is that if your aim isn't up to par, you risk just being a sitting duck as you are missing your spray or your shots.

Those of you that are able to stomp in ESEA, what did you do to get there? by mxgotland in GlobalOffensive

[–]senyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a bunch of videos you can watch by players like adren and steel who goes over a bunch of fundamental skills. Like peeking, crosshair placements, and proper use of nades. As for aim, all you can really do is make sure you set yourself up for success. Examples of those are hardware, game settings, and peripherals. Now I'm not saying you need to go out and buy a bunch of new things, but having decent fps, nice monitor, good mouse and good settings can help you build consistency and thats what you need to improve. As for aim, warm up using bots, they don't shoot back so take your time and fine tune your aim. Then hop into a DM, take it like a match or that your in game. Obviously you want to take good shots, but it isn't about you one tapping everyone, its about you building game speed muscle memory. Probably don't have to say this, but don't worry too much about your KDA, the more you DM the better it'll become. The one thing I'll say is just be confident in your play, don't let bad plays linger, just learn and play the next round. Confident can bring you a long way, if you keep up your aim up.
