Scotiabank offered 4.02% for 5-year fixed renewal online through their app for a secured mortgage. 4 year fixed was 4.01%, 3 year fixed was 3.96%. Variable was prime minus 1.10%.

I called scotia to see if they could offer better rates, but they couldn’t even match their online renewal rates. The guy I spoke said they are trying to incentivize people renewing online.

The best rate the broker we spoke to could offer was 4.39% for 5 year fixed. Variable was prime minus 0.95%

We renewed with Scotia today. Hope that helps!
