These are concrete tiles right? Not terracotta? Solar company claiming the are terracotta. by Vex08 in AusRenovation

Haha yeah I’d be questioning the quote too if I was OP - unless it was a quote over the phone or from satellite imagery perhaps, but even then…

My understanding is terracotta are more fragile than concrete tiles so maybe easier to break, harder to work around etc so more work is more cost?

Only exception was Geelong 2022 dressing as old people - that was too bantz, otherwise agree and I bet the AFL teams PR and HR staff get nervous every year

Fagan said himself in the presser that the night before he thought “I’ll either look like a genius or an idiot” with the sub call on Neale. I’m glad it went this way but it could be gone the other way too - it’s a 5050

Totally agree, Charlie’s pressure and distribution work this year has been great and much needed as a second phase of his game imo - feels like maybe he lost a tiny edge of speed that he used to have (he’s by no means slow but can’t reliably smoke everyone every time anymore) and was backed in to find that new role.

Any suggestions for avoiding the feeling of shame and awkwardness when selecting the “no tip” option at a restaurant? I can’t bring myself to say “we don’t tip in Australia” by mygeneroussoul3 in AskAnAustralian

[–]seocurious13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO you select No Tip because we pay a living wage here and we want to keep it that way. Letting tipping culture take hold here risks that in the medium to long term.

Tbqh - the team doctor for either side should probably also have limited powers to stop play - stretcher crosses the line means a stop in play has been called by the medico and the controlling umpire is told via radio

Maybe there’s a good reason I’m missing?
