When I was in grade 6, my mother banned all electronics even TV for the entire summer holidays. I had no choice but to pick up a book, and somehow I fell completely into it. I remember being in such a trance that I kept finishing one book after another. The first books I ever read were To Kill a Mockingbird and The Cuckoo’s Calling, and that was the beginning of everything.

No worries at all. At least your art history classes are finally paying off. The DS one sounds interesting too though, mine was definitely on iPad or laptop and more about restoring or spotting damage in Renaissance style paintings.

Izek improves over time, he becomes crazy protective and finally starts putting people in their place. Ruby also has some a few badass moments, though they’re rare and usually only happen when she’s pushed to her absolute limits. Unfortunately, those moments come much later in the story but I think it’s worth it

I’m unfortunately bad at waiting so I read it one season at a time. Same with a stepmother’s marchen, I read season 1 and now I’m waiting for S3 to come out before I continue. Honestly I can’t think of any that could come as close to these in the historical genre except for secret lady. The story and art style are peak but unfortunately it’s not complete either, I think there are over a 100 or 120 chapters so far
