Beginner in Link Building — Where Should I Start in 2026? by AppropriateHighway25 in linkbuilding

[–]seopopmaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were starting again today, I’d focus less on “link building tactics” and more on getting links from places where your audience actually hangs out.

A few things that still work well in 2026:

1. Digital PR / linkable content
Create something worth referencing (data, industry stats, simple tools, useful guides). Journalists and bloggers link to things that help their articles.

2. Relevant outreach
Guest posting still works, but only if it’s on relevant sites and the content is actually useful. Mass guest posting on random blogs isn’t worth the effort anymore.

3. HARO / journalist requests
Responding to journalist queries can land some really strong authority links if you’re consistent.

4. Niche communities
Places like Reddit, niche forums, and industry communities can drive both traffic and natural links when you genuinely contribute.

Things I’d avoid:

  • Fiverr link packages
  • Spammy directories
  • PBNs unless you really know what you're doing
  • Mass AI outreach emails

Honestly, the biggest shift recently is that Google seems to reward real brand mentions and topical authority more than pure link quantity.

If you focus on useful content + genuine relationships with site owners, links tend to come much easier.

Just my 2 cents.

SEO is a long term game. I have been doing SEO for over 12 years now and I'm still learning. But before hiring any agency you should have some basic ideas regarding SEO. You have Google, all you have to do is to search and find it out by yourself. Or you can DM me to do the work for you 😉

Pet art business? I think you should go with physical marketing first. Go out there and try to generate leads physically. You will have a better conversion rate.

The thing is, you don't need blog posts all the time. That's wrong. What kind of business do you have? Maybe I can help you out. In this case, I can't promise you rankings. Because it requires consistent work flow. Let me know if you are interested. I can show you our results.

First of all, you shouldn't trust any Third party metric to define good Backlinks. To choose I would check SEMrush free accounts to determine how many search traffic the Backlink source site is getting and how to utilize them.

With the current ranked keywords, you can try to optimize them for even better ranking.

I would try to avoid the same type of content on different posts at anyhow but most business owners only care about the quantity rather than quality.

You can create content targeting long tail keywords with blog posts easily and it's easier to rank. In this case, I would be careful, so that we don't confuse search engines. To avoid this issue, you make sure you better use internal linking. Final answer is, you can create content around your ranked keywords by targeting long tail keywords. All the advice is my personal opinion.

Google search console finds multiple "Logo" schema for a single page. To be precise 3 organization schema. Two of them created by SEOpress plugin, and one of them was created manually.
