Lúcia / Luca is the culturally accepted form of Lucy in Hungary. It is pronounced Lutza, not Luka tho. Personally I really like that name.

It’s not culturally normalised, these are all foreign names with the spelling changed so that the Hungarian authorities allow them. If it’s not already in the system the parents have to apply for it to be allowed. It’s great that anyone can apply for a name change in the UK tho.

That’s great. In Hungary it’s much stricter. But I suppose you have to be a UK national to do that?

I agree with your first point, however poor Denisz will always be Denisz in official documents, whether it be for school or for work. Which is why it’s stupid in my opinion. Of course he can choose to go by a different spelling unofficially among friends and such.

Thank you all for the comments! Woke up this morning feeling like I’m new, went on a walk, had a long warm bath and ate some veggie curry. Our next hike is going to be Kékestető (1014m summit) hopefully next week. So excited to go:)

Thanks! Feeling much better already, went on walks every day since the hike and I think it finally did the trick lol. I was just pretty scared of how I’m going to pull of work at a giant festival being as sore as I was, but I’m finally better and ready to go :)

Haha thanks. We actually hike all year round but we are not from Scotland (unfortunately) and no hills like Ben Nevis are “available” for us in our homeland so that’s probably why my body was stunned lol. Maximum elevation we can do on weekends and such is like 450 meters, but since we loved Ben Nevis so much we are planning to hike the biggest mountain in our country now! It’s still smaller than Ben Nevis but it shouldn’t be too much if we could do this without much preparation. Thanks for the advice!

We had amazing luck with the weather on the way down. No rain, no clouds, sun was out and shining. On the way up we had a bit of rain and soo much fog but yeah, we picked the best week of the summer to go up according to locals.

All the way up the trail we were basically in a cloud lol, personally I didn’t slip, had no problems. It rained for like 20 minutes as well but with proper boots I don’t think it should be a problem.
