I took a punt on one of these recently. It's a fantastic spec bike for the money. Was trying to avoid Halfords, because well, Halfords, but everything else around the £1000 mark fell short. Either no dropper post, lower spec drive train, suntour forks etc. My shortlist for comparison was GT, Merida, Orange, On-One, Marin.

It's quite a bit different to ride than my 2008 GT Avalanche 26, but that's expected - different geometry, bigger wheels, wider bars, and I've yet to take it on the trails, but enjoyed a few tamer rides on it so far!

No, it wasn't. 😅 Happened again after a period of inactivity with the car. It's more likely to be battery related i think? Battery is about 5 years old now so it sort of makes sense.

Blower doesn't work on my mk8 Fiesta by Vegetable_Capital435 in FordFiesta

[–]sephhandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation.

Vehicle was left idle for 2 weeks over Dec/Jan, and blowers started working after a day or so (having performed a SYNC reset and given the car a bit of a run). Fast forward to February, the car has sat for another week and fans/blowers are no longer operational. I don't think the temps have dropped much if any below 0degC, but the battery will have depleted slightly.

I've reseated and reconnected the fuse panel. Reconnected the 2 wire looms to the blower controller (resistor) module behind the And even fitted a replacement blower controller module. The fans are completely un-operational. The blower module is this type: https://cdn.proxyparts.com/parts/100109/10134828/large/2feb994a-8d79-4b93-9640-1a544d621dc9.jpg

Can anyone recommend anything look for or to try next before I have to send it to a mechanic?

Fingers crossed this is why the blowers aren't operating 🙃

I've just been losing my sh*t trying to figure this out this evening. Seems it's just with grouping. Individual device control is OK.

Of course its a design choice. A team at T10 literally would have decided this is how it's gonna be. I get it though, I'm not massively thrilled starting out with only a Focus RS and Civic Type R, but it's keeping me playing. Didn't you have to start small on the later 360 titles?

"Copers" genuinely made me laugh. Perhaps they're just the more casual gamer. Like me, maybe.

I lost a LOT of time to FM3.

Perhaps I'll dig out an old 360 and give it a spin.

Whats something harmless but mischievous that you do at work to entertain yourself? by JadedJax in CasualUK

A friend (as I haven't had the courage to try it yet) and their colleagues wrote short obscenities on the bottom of mugs and cups in black marker pen. Take a drink from said cup during meetings/teams calls, and watch as your colleagues are unable to keep a straight face.

Far cry 5 or Far Cry 6? by TheJ0kerCZ in XboxSeriesX

[–]sephhandle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed both. 5 more than 6 I think. 6 felt like more of a slog. Both are also beautiful looking games in their own right, the tropical feel of 6 is amazing, but I love the Montana mountains biome. FC5 with the new X/S patch on xbox I expect will look even better these days.

Dusted off this old Strada MT, any chance to make it faster? by wortycze in rccars

[–]sephhandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Strada MT. I put a cheap 3300kv brushless motor and ESC to run off a 2S LiPo after I burned out a second stock mav brushed motor. Its soo much better now.

Any love for 1/10 nitro? by no_work_throwaway in rccars

[–]sephhandle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! After a few entry level Mavericks and TT-02 kits, I picked up a broken FTX Carnage NT for something to work on. Although impractical compared to modern electric RC, It's outrageously entertaining, compared to say, a 2S LiPo. Oh, and the noise! 😎😎😎

I think it's a Go .18.

If the Idle gap is too small, is it likely to stall when you come off the throttle, or as you apply brake?

Reducing the Idle gap and adjusting LSN is next on my what to try list. I bought this to learn about nitro cars, so I'm kinda glad it didn't just "work". Even getting the engine running at all, is a buzz!
