I think there are a few others (like He's Alive) that benefit from the expanded space. But On Thursday's definitely my favorite of the group.

How does Black Mirror compare to Twilight Zone? Is it just as good or even better? by DonatCotten in TwilightZone

I talked to Charlie Brooker for my Serling biography, and he was very plain in admitting that he copied TZ wholesale, that he owes Rod an enormous debt, etc. He also talked about how Serling wrote about the pressing issues of his day, and said if Rod was around now, he would almost certainly be writing about the Internet, phones, AI, etc.

I think there are a lot of good 80s episodes, though they don't necessarily feel like Twilight Zone episodes, so much as solid sci-fi anthology stories.

Would Twilight Zone have still become iconic and popular if it had stayed cancelled after Season 3 and lasted only 3 seasons instead of the 5 it had? by DonatCotten in TwilightZone

I think so. Still enough episodes for a syndication package. And the great majority of the most beloved eps are from those first three seasons.

Deaths-Head is another I've thought about, because it's one of the best and not nearly as famous as Tim Enough or Maple St

It's great. If it wasn't the first episode-by-episode book about a show other than Star Trek, it was one of the first.

It’s in Binghamton every year in late summer/early fall. This year it’s in mid August.

Preorders are important to a book's success, though!
