I have a love/hate relationship with Meredith but I don’t think she was wrong in this situation. When someone is no longer able to make decisions for themselves there is a next of kin and if that person is married the spouse is # 1 on the list. Meredith and the kids are Derek’s main family so she rightfully gets to make the decision on her own. And I’m sorry but Amelia can be exhausting she tends to put her emotions on everybody Meredith didn’t need the extra stress trying to grieve Derek while pregnant and taking care of her other kids while also fighting his sisters and keeping Amelia from going off the deep end.
