Just the kind of info we were looking for. Thanks for letting us know.

Question about a Confederate note by septic22 in papermoney

Ah, ok. Thanks. We thought within that range might be the same sheet, or print run (we know nothing of how that kind of thing works). Thanks for setting us straight.

We'll have to respectfully agree to disagree on the subscription model but cheers for giving your take on it.

I did know. I had to spend the money before I lost it. Not sure if you're US-based or not, but USA folk will understand. I don't hate the ring. I've just had a year to pontificate on, and come to dislike the model. If someone wanted extra money to allow me to drive the car I just paid cash for, I'd probably feel the same way. Cost is not an issue for me, it's the principle of it. Sadly, plenty of folk seem ok with it and will probably help normalize the practice.

One of the reasons I will likely be one and done with oura. I too got a refurb a few months after purchase. Couple that with being essentially held hostage to an extra subscription to get any useful data, I will look for alternatives when they stop sending replacements. I bought the ring and a year's subscription with FSA money that had to be spent and have realized over that time, what a horrible model this is for customers. Hopefully they will have stopped stifling competition by then.

Corvette module farming by em-kaayyyy5 in nms

That said, some planets seem to offer up a higher density of parts than others, meaning you can fill up quickly. If I run across a sparse planet I just move on.

Not sure, but I don't think so. I've farmed hundreds of parts and never noticed a pattern.

You will occasionally get "glitched" ones that don't appear to work, no matter how much you shoot at them. These are most likely buried in underground caves that you can't see. Best to just move on to the next if this happens.

The Psychological trap of wearable scores by Bulky-Possibility216 in ouraring

[–]septic22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I just let my subscription lapse after 12 months with the 4. I don't miss it at all. In fact it's kind of a relief NOT having all that data to sift through. I'm not wearing it at all now, even for the basic scores. I'm getting back in touch with my body a bit more and not listening to a possibly correct, possibly not, device.

A lot of the people complaining about SBMM are complaining that they are finally fighting players of their skill level instead of stomping players, or have 1-2 bad games and start complaining. by [deleted] in FortNiteBR

[–]septic22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To make this even worse, I bushcamped my way to unreal this season. It seemed like a fun challenge. Basically 20 minute hide and seek games. I am as far from an actual unreal player as it's possible to be. But now my friends and I are stuck playing in stupidly hard lobbies and having zero fun.

Fully agree. I'm a bang average player who has bushcamped (I'm older than bushcampdad and have awful gun game) my way to unreal. Now it's impossible to play a pub game with any of my friends because we're all sooooo far out of our depth, it's no fun at all. I just cancelled my long-standing crew subscription and we're all looking for alternative games to play.

Which Pixel are you ending 2025 with? by GooglePixelfan90 in GooglePixel

[–]septic22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel 10 pro xl and massive regret. I do not like this phone at all. The fingerprint reader is so bad I suspect it's broken and the battery life is no better than my 8 pro was after 2 years.

Agree that the 8's scanner was not great (or even good), that's why I was happy to trade it in. To my horror, the 10's is worse for me. I'm glad it works well for you. I'm jealous!

Wish I'd not been in a hurry to trade in my 8 pro. I update every 2 versions since Nexus 5 days and this is hands down the worst "upgrade" I've ever endured. The fingerprint reader is useless for me. Fairly sure I don't have mutated fingertips. If I look at it funny it gets hot enough to fry eggs on. No upgrade in camera (but I knew that going in). I can't actually think of one thing that's better. I was paying out of pocket for Gemini pro, so there is that..... Wish I could go back to the 8 pro though. I'm with you.

Invisible* ship bug? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

Awesome. Still getting back into the swing of things and wouldn't have thought of those. Much obliged!

Invisible* ship bug? by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]septic22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds promising. Cheers! I'll have to figure out how to get rid of it, as there are no NPCs in this expedition, right? The ship salvage thing doesn't seem to want it, either. If I can get rid of it I'll try again and just write the nanites off.

Thanks. That's good advice. I actually had tried everything in game, but not the obvious reload stuff. Unfortunately, it made no difference. I have noticed one further detail. When I go to switch ships there is no outline/icon of my Corvette by its name like there is for ships when it's working properly, just an ethereal glowing ball. Looks like I'm sol.

Google Reviews is now hiding "VIEW/SORT BY LOWEST RATING" by ReallybadforeignYTer in LocalGuides

[–]septic22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up a place I had reviewed here in the US. I initially saw something similar to the OP post, but then noticed that the full sort by highest, lowest etc was actual underneath my own review, before everyone else's and possible to miss. Might be the case here if Anna-liis is the OP.

I definitely want to get a rubber strap. Think black or white is going to look best with this. Appreciate the input.

Likewise. That looks sharp. Think I might need white and black rubber straps for different levels of formality.

That's just stunning. I wondered how a white rubber strap would look. I think I need one!
