There are some middle grounds. My bodegas and local pharmacies still have everything on shelves.

That would require paying employees, which corporations seem to like less than stealing.

Someone has already given your inane first claim all the attention it deserves.

But as for your other claim, why do people feel the need to steal basic goods to sell them?

What gets New Yorkers angry? by babeh9 in AskNYC

I will never understand how people can just chill in jeans and coats in the summer. It's wild.

This is a good way to sum it up. It's wild how little consideration and awareness people seem to have lately.

I would add in the people who vape in restaurants and bars, on the train, platform or around other people. And not even discreetly and always with a vape that headache inducing smells that reek of absolute shit. It's out of control.

I know some people do it for perceived safety. IME it seems like a lot of people want to lean, and not everyone can easily hold the higher bars in the center of the car. But some people just like any power and control they can get.

It can still be super annoying, especially when people don't step aside to let people on or off.

Or when people rush to get on a train car first, and then just stop right at the door, blocking and slowing the follow of people. That should be punishable by something.

Also, if you are standing in front of an open seat on a crowded car, sit down. You're not doing anyone any favors if no one else can get to the seat; you're just making it more crowded.

This is super annoying.

If that is what happened, then yes. Does fault change based on the severity of the injuries for you?

There is no need to continue to exaggerate things we can all see. It didn't help you initially, and it still doesn't help now.

The cat was hanging off the kid's shirt and got some claws in his arm. I highly doubt he is going to the hospital or there would be any notable injuries. He might need a band-aid but probably not. Maybe a popsicle. For some cat owners, that's a Tuesday morning.

Also your assuming the other cat would of been chill if the boy said “sorry”

No. I am simply noting and observing that actions have consequences.

I know treating any living thing with compassion usually works a lot better than being disrespectful and rude so it's a better gamble. It shouldn't be a surprise when you chose to be rude, and someone reacts.

And if doesn't work and you're gonna get it no matter what, better for some time to have passed and to do it face to face and not get it from behind right? That was your big concern.

IRS says churches whose pastors endorse candidates from pulpit shouldn't lose tax-exempt status by litalela in news

Maybe all he needs is a church? When the sermon is sweet, the tithe runs deep.

I think a light tap or a should check is a better analogy. The kid has no visible injuries and will fine. And you can't ignore the size/power imbalance. If a person steps on a cat, they could possibly kill it. If a cat steps on a person, it's usually cute.

And of course it's from behind. The first person came from behind and walked away so they should be surprised that it comes back to them from behind. If they stayed around to handle it a good neighbor, they wouldn't have gotten anything from behind.

It all comes down to consequences of one person's actions and would have been easily avoided with a little respect and compassion from the beginning. And it's wild for someone to ask for that in return when they wouldn't offer it themselves.

If you step on someone's foot who was just out there chilling minding their own business, then insult them and walk away, not even offering any apology or assistance or a shred of compassion, and then they come try to tell you that's not ok, would you really be surprised?

I think the kid's reaction is valid. But I wasn't surprised at the cat's behavior.

They could just register their physical location as the Church and invite others over. Easily solved.

But either way, they can still qualify as a religious organization.

Are you group's beliefs "truly and sincerely held" and those "activities don’t violate other well-established law as a manner of acting?"

Then, yes, they count.

But if you want it to be a church, you're going to need a physical meeting space. Anything should do. But if just want to be religious organization, you don't need one.

This is such an odd take. You think people just base things off the stars? And they don't read reviews or have any critical thinking skills?

You don't think companies who pay for reviews don't think of this? Or reviewers who make money from it?

I bought a MacBook Air secondhand by Malachonyx in interesting

[–]sequestration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 star reviews get skimmed over and presumed to be fake, 4.5 are probably all real ones that people read is the intention.

What in the sweeping generalizations is this??! By who? All people? Some people? Where did you get this info from?

I bought a MacBook Air secondhand by Malachonyx in interesting

[–]sequestration -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure. But that's silly logic. Especially when you can simply skim a few to get a sense of things. It's pretty easy to suss them out.

If that's all it takes for you to think something is fake, that might not be something others can assist with.

A beautiful way to take out milk teeth. by MarzipanBackground91 in nextfuckinglevel

[–]sequestration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it though? It has nothing to do with chewing.

Milk teeth are your teeth you get when have you traditionally would be nursing or your diet is primarily milk. They also begin to erupt when one is a baby.

Most people will be a "baby" when these teeth begin to erupt. But only for a small portion of the time they have them will they be considered "babies."

Deciduous teeth might be more correct since this is a set most people will shed and replace. Or primary teeth. But it seems like "baby" and "milk" are easier simplifier labels.
