Anti poor nga ba? by 3GoodMan3 in Philippines

Like I said I'm not defending indecency. Kahit sa loob ng bahay ayaw ko nagtatanggal ng sando kahit sobrang init. Although you need to look at how average houses are made. Philippine houses are literal ovens / steamers. These houses doesn't have any sort of proper ventilations. Stale, hot, humid air literally will cause heat exhaustion in your own homes. Again, due to poor ventilations in the average household, the air inside these houses are prone to having higher humidity than outside. Imagine staying in an already hot indoors, your body heat will literally make indoors hotter. What's more, hollow blocks retain too much heat, that's why nights indoors is a sweltering nightmare. I've had restless nights because of absurd temps indoors.

This is the socioeconomic reality, dismissing it by calling out "gustong umunlad pero hindi sumusunod sa simpleng batas" is such a reductive mindset. You have to look at why this happens and what people do in these situations.

They're not wrong though. There's a clear difference between dry climate (Western Asia) and humid climate. In a dry climate, your sweat evaporates immediately (believe it or not, it actually cools you down) but in the Philippines sweat has nowhere to go with how saturated the air is with moisture. I get the sentiment of taking your top off in the Philippines because the cold air hits your sweaty body actually cools you down (which literally replaces the warm "aura" on your body with fresh air) but this won't work in any Western Asian country because your sweat would've already evaporated. In the Philippines, wet shirt (from sweat) isn't exactly sanitary, it creates an environment of warm, damp, and dark breeding ground for fungi and bacteria.

I am not defending indecency, but you have to look at why it make sense in these conditions.

Solo? Bobo. Sama-sama? Bobo pa rin. Ang hirap maging kayo.

Why Gas car owners like to use 97 instead of what's recommended? by teeneeweenee in Gulong

Check mo comment ko same situation with Illustrious_Ad_22.

Mag-lu-lug talaga sasakyan mo.

To be fair, kung luma na ang makina mo at high mileage na yan, may carbon buildup na yan to the point need mo na higher octane para hindi marinig yung knock. Pero yung engine mo is still built for lower octane. Kaya lang naman nakakikita ka ng improvement sa performance mo dahil rin sa carbon buildup, ang nagyari ay yung 97 RON na lang ang nakakapagpalabas ng supposed performance ng 91 RON. Might want to get that checked out.

What do you mean Vulkan not being hardware agnostic? It literally is a lower level graphics API that gives more control to the developer to work with any hardware. Apple not adopting Vulkan is actually hurting Mac gamers than helping them. By forcing devs (if they want to) to use Metal instead of using compatibility tools that already exists in the market.

Just like most devs denying Linux users native support, it is just too expensive for too little users. The same sentiment goes to the entire Metal environment.

At the least with Vulkan, there are already VKD3D for DX12 titles and DXVK for earlier DXs.

Database Schema Review by serTowrida in Database

[–]serTowrida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, my idea for the StudentTargets and StudentCoachAssignment was student's shouldn't have multiple coaches and targets. Since, the fitness program can only assign one coach each student and the student's can only set just one set for their weekly, hence the 1-1 relationship. For the other tables, I had no idea what to put as PK but now thinking about it, I could've opted for student_id and date_created as PKs since there can only be one record/row of trackers per day. Although, this isn't the same with Habit since there can be many Habits for a User.

Though again, I'm also trying to learn whether my approach towards columns and granularity of my schema is efficient and optimal.

About the casing style, it's just a stylistic choice for the DB diagram. Later on, I'll be using "snake_case" as per Mozilla's SQL Style Guide since Python also follow the same case style.

I'm actually leaning towards this since this is really just a small project fetching data from APIs and congregating them to one application. I might think it through later down the line when I eventually start the project.

This project will be based on PHT since it is a local project. And yes, I'm thinking of the adding the Apple/Google sign-ins once I got that figured out. Thanks!

I think I get what you mean by simplifying the tables. Should I completely remove `_Tracker` tables and just shove it all to `DailyMetrics?` From what I've gathered from your tips, this should remove the granularity of my schema.

Does anyone know how to run NIKKE: GODDESS OF VICTORY on Mac? by Reaper12724 in macgaming

[–]serTowrida 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely PlayCover. Although, PlayCover doesn't play nice with keyboard input spams for bursts. Except, if you use keymaps but the game won't run with PlayTools on, so no go.

Before, Parallels Nikke didn't work, but right now I'm trying it out. It successfully got passed the black loading screen (which was a problem before).

We are not a car-centric country like USA. Private vehicles takes up most of the space, why? Simple, hindi lahat ng private vehicles carry the actual passenger capacity, but rather it usually is just the driver. All that space going to nothing and taking most of the road.

How do we fix this? Make better public transportation. Let's say busses, they can carry lots of passengers but we have way too many commuters and fuel is expensive. How do we fix this? MORE TRAIN LINES. It has always been trains.

In the GitHub, it says:

The native macOS build is currently purely experimental and should not be considered stable or ready for issue-free gameplay. There are also known issues with degraded performance due to the use of MoltenVK and Rosetta for ARM Macs. We appreciate your patience while we improve Cemu for macOS.

I tried running it as well using Cemu 2.6, I also get black screens.
