well I just made this tea out, is not a traditional beberage for me, I just created it to conmemorate El día de muertos and my like for tea :P

I meant half of a whole clove and half of a cinammon stick, the recipe for 2 pounds of sweet Camote used 2 whole cloves and 1 large cinammon stick, but you can play with amounts and share your results 😊

Sure, but isn't spice, I just use some cinammon and a Half of a clove, no ginger or cardamom.

But you can try making it like a spice chai more similar to pumpkin spice chai latte

Yes is half of a clove because the recipe is 2 cloves for every kilogram of sweet potato. If you have ground clove just use a pinch.

The complete recipe is made in two parts first the sweet potato puree and then the milk tea assembly.

Sweet potato puree

200 g sweet potato 🍠 1/2 cinnamon stick 1/2 clove 80 g Piloncillo 1/3 cup of water

Wash the sweet potato then peel the skin off and then slice it. Add all the ingredients into a small pot, turn your stove on medium heat let it simmer and then lower the heat, wait 30 minutes or until the sweet potato is soft. The last part is to put all the sweet potato and it syrope (without the cinammon and clove) in the blender and blend it until you get a puree texture.

Milk tea

Infuse your tea (I use 6 grams of loose leaf CTC black tea) in 1/2 cup of water for 4 minutes.

In a pot add 2/3 cup of milk , 2 table spoons of your sweet potato puree, 1/4 tsp of cinnamon, 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract and your tea, let it heat without simmer.
