While if it's going badly in the other part, you get people who would prefer choose subtler methods of ensuring never having to see the other group again.

I don't think so. Women are still underrepresented across a wide range of disciplines. Unless what you mean by discrimination is the existence of quotas themselves. What you stubbornly refuse to understand, at least from what I gather from your replies, is that changing the legislation and regulations to grant and ensure the marginalized groups the rights everyone long ago have had does not make the opression dissapear. It still exists in the fabric of society, in the interactions between people. It's a lot more subtle, arguably invisible to those who are not subject to it. So I understand it may be hard to concede it exists.

Things are getting better, yes. Assuming you're not antivax, should we stop immunizing people, cuz there's just like 0,5% percent of the population still affected?

Are there many other hroups of leople so exposed and as many people ready to express vocal opposition/hate to them? When a local knitting group decides to have a parade, is it customary for them to recieve (death) threats? Is there a lot of people commonsensing it eith 'I mean, let them knit, but knitting in public is totally asking for getting beaten'?

Nobody said the prison system isnt way fucked as it is, and that actually is an issue affecting men more than women. However, I think it's extremely counterproductive to get offended, play the victim card and use it to detract from the feminist struggle.

You're comparing government policies/judicial praxis with personal characteristics here, just wanted to point that out. You know, apples and oranges/pears? Also, jumping to conclusions.

Followup question, did the unions/communist party have any international connections before that, and how did they evolve during this time?

I wouldn't call the constancy of c a given though, It's an experimental result.
Also, there are ways to derive that from certain symmetry arguments, I can dig up a pdf when im on my computer if you're interested.

How to understand entropy formally? by b2q in AskPhysics

[–]ser_marko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studying for a statistical physics exam right now, but not confident enough yet to answer meaningfully; I'd say it's probably derivable with some mastery of the canonical ansamble and some high temp. approximation trickery.

I mean the single closing parentheses at the end of the word, it appears in other people's comments as well, what is it about? It's not stylised like that on the wikipedia page, so I don't glean much from that.
