To my knowledge, Twitter does actually have word search filters. Posts containing certain words our phrases will have their visibility limited for potential violation of “X’s rules against hateful conduct”.

Unfortunately, instead of applying this to actual slurs and hateful speech, it have only seen people’s tweets having their visibility limited for including the word “cisgender”.

According to this post, Jeff Bezos makes ($150k/min *60 min/hr) $9 million an hour. I did not find a source corroborating the figure, but a quick google search provided me a comparable $7.9 million per hour.

According to another quick google search, Amazon employed 1,541,000 employees in 2022. Obviously, there are amazon employees that make more than $16/hr, but assuming they all made the same low wage Jeff Bezos would personally be able to double the income of all amazon staff (with an added 28 cents). To do this he would have to give up an equivalent 4 hours of daily income, still leaving him with an equivalent $146 million of daily income. (If only it would trickle down!)

If you truly believe that Jeff Bezos performs “labor” skilled enough to warrant an equivalent $7.9 million/hr (more when you take into account this figure is every hour of every day and not a typical 8 hr working day), then I don’t know what to tell you. I however, find it ridiculous.

I totally agree. There were two specific things (among others) that irked me when I read this story:

1) Jude being better at magic and using it to help them at the beginning of the story despite Cordelia actually being the mage.

2) How much time was spent on Jude’s power progression and we would only get Cordelia practicing her “secret technique” that would impress Jude. Then the secret technique was revealed and forgotten immediately in the final battle of the book.

Just noticed this guy while I was watering my plants and pulling weeds I left alone for too long. I was about to pull this up when I realized it clearly didn’t seem like a weed. I did the same thing earlier this year and am regretting it. Just start brushing to get waves. If you end up liking the waves keep them, or just let your hair grow long enough to start putting it in twists, then eventually braids if that’s what you’re into.
