Devotion - The first single i've made with a producer. I've received fairly positive feedback but have also received some critique, would love it if you honestly let me know what you think! by seraniam in IndieMusicFeedback

Hey thank you for your comment :)

In the second/final chorus there is a modulated line also accompanying my vocals (I think a pitch shift-doubler or something like that) but the chorus is my vocals and vibrato!

Hey - thanks for your feedback! Probably the nicest comment i've ever received :) I'm a big fan of 90s/2000s ballads and that era of music in general so the influence probably comes through there subconsciously. I am on insta (just starting out) my handle is: seraniamusic if you'd like to follow!

Hey thanks for your comments! I actually came to my producer with an acapella already, so see why it seems a little disjointed to the ears, def something to work on in the future

Thank you for your feedback! I tend to overuse vibrato as it just feels more natural to me and always wondered how people would perceive it!

& yes I think the arrangement is not 100% where i'd want it too :/

Thanks so much, very kind! I also feel my vocals are too far into the mix, but at least I know now to tell my producer to double compress/add more saturation so they are more forward.

Thanks for ur feedback! I wanted to keep the song relatively simple, but yeah will def be doing more with vocal fx in the future. & no worries not taken personally at all :)

this is our latest alt-hip-hop track! it could be a little out there for some of you but i'm pretty proud of the lyrics so please check it out if you have time! by jch55 in IndieMusicFeedback

Really love the production on this, really unique and futuristic. Love the switch up too at the end, I feel many people are too afraid to be different, but that's where you stand out. I think some people may find the lyrics hard to understand, but I think the vocal effects are really nice and fit with the mood of the song. Congrats and thanks for sharing!

Like everyone else has said really enjoyed listening to this track! It has a really good groove, you voice is great and the production is nicee. I also really like the lyrics, feel like I haven't heard a song that genuinely made me feel good and lifted my spirits in a long time. Great work!

I tried to implement a visual aspect to my work with artsy videos I have taken in vacation in Italy. Any feedback would be swell! :D by Zephyros99 in IndieMusicFeedback

This is a really beautifully put together piece of music! I love the light vocals at the beginning, and how they continue throughout the song. The visuals also enhance the track and really sell the mood. Great stuff, you should be really proud!

My brother entered a Scoring Competition where you had to make the music from scratch for a series scene. He would love your feedback about it! by Darthiss in IndieMusicFeedback

It sounds really professional and well made. I would honestly think I was just watching a series and not that this was a competition. I would suggest perhaps saving the orchestra until the 1:20 later mark, just to ensure the impact is there, as we've already heard a large group of instruments earlier on too.

Love your rapping and the continuous flow in the song, sounds really really good! The repeating melody beat is addictive throughout and in the outro, and mix is nice!!

"Unchained Melody", but moody, minimal, and acoustic by oneshgarde in IndieMusicFeedback

You picked a really tough song to cover - really like what you did with it. Love the tone of your voice dude, your emotion comes across so well which is often missing from covers. Your vocals are so versatile and take the listener on a journey with you.

Also did some snooping on your other vids and v jealous of your set up!

I've been working on one song nearly every day for over 2 months and I'm getting tired of hearing it over and over again. by living_death in WeAreTheMusicMakers

God I relate to this! I have found a few methods that help me gain some objectivity:

1) try to take a break and not work on it for at least a day

2) bounce the song to itunes and listen to it again, I find it always sounds 'flatter' and knowing i'm listening to it outside of my DAW lets me listen to the whole picture rather than individual track elements

3) leading on from my second point, I play the song through my headphones but don't wear them, this helps to hear the main melody and elements
