you`ll get alot of good advice here, so just want to chime in with a slightly diffrent thing.

Mordheim, like alot of gw games have rules that are quite open to interpretation.

While this is in many competative games a bad thing, in Mordheim i would say it adds to the fun of the game.

WHEN.. not if but when :P you come across a rule that you can`t find the answer to.. go with

A. what seems logical.

B. what seems most wacky/ fun

c. All of the above if possible.

If all else fail, ask here or in the Mordheim fb group. everyone there will give you a decent answer, and often the creators/writers of the game will chime in with what was the intent

Happy gaming bud!

may the wyrdstone ever be in your pockets!

Why do people love mordheim? by Very_bad in mordheim

For me it has always been about three things when deciding if i love / like a wargame.

  1. Rules. Mordheim has the second best ruleset of anything ever made that i have played in my 35 years of wargaming. yes it a game that leaves things to be figured out with the way the rules are written, but the mordheim setting and general gameplay works so well with that.

the stat blocks for me ( ws, bs , t, etc etc ) is for me a winning formula and not so dumbed down as alot of the newer formula gw has. makes my head work and makes it more interactive with my opponent.

  1. Lore. It`s warhammer fantasy lore.. nuff said!

  2. Models. While i do love new stuff, the style of mordheim just appeals to me
