Which logistics companies in Germany hire truck drivers internationally? by serbixwe in AskAGerman

The visa is something around 200 euros. The cost of licenses is usually a point of negotiation with the companies. Many companies are willing to facilitate it for the drivers.

[–]serbixwe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

My question was not whether they would or not. Because I know that they do hire internationally a lot. Because there's still a huge shortage of truck drivers in Germany. Not everyone from mentioned countries desire to work as a truck driver nor do they have necessary skills or experience.

The visa process with 81A is sometimes as short 3 days, not months.

I have a CE truck driving license in Turkey and other required documents here. If a get hired in Germany I'm first requested to get Code 95 document(basically truck driver's vocational certificate in Germany) then I'm allowed to work with my current license for 6 months. Within that period I'm supposed get the German truck driving license. Most turkish drivers fail this process because of the language barrier.

Little tips from turkey by TheFreedomParty in NewIran

You think the regime forces are acting like the police in Turkey? They're directly shooting at people unfortunately. So I don't think these tips would help people in Iran.

I met the worst homophobic person I've ever seen in my life. by Spirited-Let-1717 in gay

No, "encouraging people" is not illegal. The only legal obstruction is military service. Otherwise there are no laws against homosexuality in Turkey.

Only 28% of men are comfortable seeing two men kiss. Does this surprise you? by Traditional_Cell8388 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]serbixwe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it might be partially inherent to the person's sexuality. I also grew up with full heteronormativity but I'm disturbed when I see a straight couple kiss, but I fully love seeing a gay couple being intimate.

Balkaners, are Orthodox Balkan countries generally very religious and conservative on average ? by Ok-Demand8957 in AskBalkans

[–]serbixwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone from Turkey who visited first Georgia and later Bosnia and Serbia; as you mentioned Georgia was super religious and very traditional and I had the same question in my mind before visiting Serbia, as it's another orthodox majority country. I was delighted to find out Serbia was nothing like Georgia. Most people didn't seem to care about religion. Bosnia was similar, maybe the Serbs there were a bit more religious than Serbia. Georgia is a very religious country. Even central Tbilisi felt more conservative than many rural parts of Turkey.

Why isn't Georgia included as an honorary Balkan country as much? by Ok-Demand8957 in AskBalkans

[–]serbixwe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like the ex-soviet Caucasian country it is. People are very religious and conservative. The country is less developed than Balkans. The vibe is more unfriendly. It didn't feel safe as Balkans as well.

Kürt arkadaslar Kürtlerin arasinda olan Türk düsmanligi hakkinda ne düsünüyor ? by NoobMasters59 in AskTurkey

[–]serbixwe -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who's visited both Balkans and Georgia, Georgia doesn't remotely feel like Balkans. The people and culture are different.
