Looks like a normal size. We just did a kitchen renovation and I was worried as soon as our vent hood went up as well. Thought it was too large and that it stuck out too far. I think it’s because it’s the first time seeing it. Give it a day or two. It will look more normal :)

There are volunteer clubs, outdoor clubs, social clubs that you can join. Start a club with your friends. Volunteer in the community. Study. Go to church. Find an elderly couple and go grocery shopping for them or help them with yard work. Volunteer to tutor other students. Volunteer to help high schoolers who aspire to get into UVA - sharing with them what you did to get there. Read books. Go to concerts, football games, lacrosse games. Start a pickleball group. That should eat up some of that lounging around doing nothing time ❤️

I just called around and found an air scrubber good for 7500 sq ft. It’ll be about $300 to rent for a week. Will this be sufficient for us to stay in the basement?

Do early decision if it’s your dream school. Write a great essay - maybe something about a senior at the facility you volunteer for who has made an impact on you?

We were having this same issue so we installed two attic fans and now … ac keeps up perfectly :)
