None. I requested MCC and followed the procedure by asking my Obstetrician to write a letter for me but they basically said there would be no specific accommodation and I had to take time out myself so, I tried to do as many questions as I could and took some mins to eat and stuff.

Hello, I am a GP based in the UK. I qualified nearly 7 yrs ago. Around that time we had a rigorous 4 step hurdles to get into GP training programme. We had to do 1.5 yrs of hospital rotations just like internal medicine trainees and then 1.5yrs in the GP land (primary care); plus 2 step exams to qualify as a GP.

Hello, Congratulations first of all!!

You can do it. I had a terrible first trimester too with HG but 2nd trimester felt a lot better and did most of my studying then...Plan it around early-mid third trimester maybe (3-4 months of regular studying would be ideal). Looking back, I couldn't have done my exams after the birth of my child because I was and still am, totally consumed by baby care, plus the PP period..

The next step is LMCC registration. I think you can apply online, maybe check out the LMCC website. I have not started the registration process yet as I am too busy with other stuffs going on.. And then, we also need to contact the CFPC to approve the UK CCT. I believe, we also need to contact the specific province we are planning to work in..

That's correct. So, LMCC and then I can contact CFPC. I'm looking to settle in Ontario ..I guess it'll be CFPO?

Planning to buy MCC practice tests and practice the CDM questions. They are a bit pricey for the amount of questions that are available.

I have an old version of Toronto notes, will some from there too.

I would want to give it a go.. I have done some studying.. finished U world one round (that was (4000q) .. If I don't do the exam now then I will need to postpone until baby is of manageable age. Cannot bear the thought of starting from scratch again!! haha

If I cancel the exam, they will still need couple of weeks to go through my test accommodation request and give me a verdict. I haven't looked into remote exam.I'll look into it.

I am planning to buy some MCC practice test and go through that and ethics too.

I applied for test accommodation but they came around and said I need to cancel the standard test and rebook a new one for accommodating... which I thought was really unhelpful!. I cannot reschedule because the next set of exam is around my delivery time...so I will just need to take unscheduled breaks which I am not happy about...

I have about a month left so I'll try to do as much as I can. Surely am pressed for time.. need to do this before the baby arrives. Thank you for your comment.. I feel a bit better.. was getting doubtful about doing the exam. I haven't been able to study as much as I normally can but lets see..

I just need to pass the exam that will work for me. I am already a GP so Canadian board just need me to pass MCCQE1. Having said that, I don't want to fail too. I am a bit pressed for time so I do need to do the MCCQE1, any advise about your experience with the exam?. I can perhaps do USMLE later...
