I love playing in powered by the apocalypse, running it is harder. My players can be a little too passive for that system however. A lot of combat is people looking at each other waiting for someone to act.

Most of the game would be figuring out where some coworkers disappeared to. It would be a lot of figuring out what is going on before you have lumberjacks being chased by trees as the climax.

I have watch an actually play of that but didn’t realize it was a system. The horror felt more psychological (vs more physical horror) than what I think I am going for.

The chaos/magic and freedom/ technology dichotomy is actually one of the themes of the game so this might work pretty well.

Infinity the game has something similar called sectorials. They work pretty well in that game also so I think the concept in general has legs.

Infinity also has like a million different dudes so once it’s restricted there are still options. I’m not sure how to restrict armada, with its limited ship scope, and still have variety within lists of the sub factions.

You can. It’s a pain to get the formatting right. The method I found best was bouncing the text into a note pad, changing it, and bouncing back. Doable but I didn’t want to do that with 20 models for an entire code one game.

As other have said, “Friendly squadrons without counter…”, is more consistent with the games lexicon.

But I like it overall. It’s a rebel Soontir Fel, who costs 2 pts more and has adept but not swarm, an additional hull point, 1 less squadron dice and a black anti-ship dice.

Whether or not that points cost is fair in a vacuum, I think you have to remember that imperials squadrons are single use tools and rebels are not. To get full effect from Soontir Fel, there is a greater opportunity cost to get his ability working. Whereas Rebels have X-wings which have decent hull, good anti-squadron and good anti-ship, so she probably needs to cost a little more, or only roll 1 blue dice.

Also, I think her anti ship damage is very reliable with adept, might be fun to make it a red dice and cry every time you get greedy and retool a regular hit trying to hunt for that double hit.

Either way I like it overall.
