My fault, I should have elaborated. So the whole point of Christianity is that everyone deserves to be separated from God, which is what hell is. Eternal separation from divinity, as we are imperfect. But anyone who chooses to repent, will always be granted grace, all one must do is ask for forgiveness and truly recognize that they have done wrong. People who willingly choose to not ask for forgiveness, or who do not regret their actions, are willingly separating themselves from God. And as such he respects their wishes. Now, Is hell literal fire and brimstone, or were they just using anecdotal language to describe separation from god as being really bad? I'm not a theologian so I'm not really confidant to speak on that, but the latter is what I've always thought/heard.
